On a class excursion to a cave with stone age paintings the clumsy Rex gets lost. A mysterious crystal opens a gateway in time and sets him back to the stone ages, where he meets a group of prehistoric fellows and the gorgeous Eba. While teaching her English and doing some pseudo-research on her fellows, his main goal is to get her sleeping with him. However the curiosity of the clan chief disturbs his attempts.

Excellent, Without a doubt!!
A Masterpiece!
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
Rex is a nerdy, picked on high school student. The class goes on a field trip to a mine. The teacher claims Einstein said time travel is possible and the atom bomb happened, and a helicopter is flying overhead, so Rex goes back into time and meets a cute blonde and a much of stereotyped dumb cavemen that don't even know zug-zug.The humor didn't make it. It was 80's style adolescent humor which is really bad by today's standards.Guide: No swearing. Nudity (Michelle Bauer, Jasae, Pamela Powers, Susie Lynch, Susanne Mierisch, Cynthia Thompson, Cynthia Rullo)
Bumbling nerdy high school anthropology student Rex (a winningly goofy performance by Daniel Roewbuck) travels 25,000 years back in time. Rex not only stumbles across a wacky tribe of primitive Neanderthals, but also meets and falls in love with sweet and beautiful cave babe Ebba (delightfully played with disarming radiance and innocence by adorable blonde sprite Cynthia Thompson). Rex teaches Ebba English, makes various clumsy attempts at seducing her, and saves the tribe from a nasty rival group of savage cannibals. Writer/director David Oliver maintains an endearingly dippy and lighthearted tone throughout while delivering a cheerfully silly series of amusingly dumb jokes about nose-picking, flatulence, playing with shaving cream, and blowing up condoms. Roebuck and Thompson make for appealing leads; their central romance is cute, funny, and even quite charming. Moreover, there are neat supporting turns by Jeff Chayette as hostile tribal chief Argh, Darren Young as the cowardly Dar, Saba-Moor Doucette as the snarky Saba, Charles Mitchell as the tubby Char, and Cynthia Rullo as the horny, but fat and homely Aka. Better still, there's a pleasing smattering of tasty gratuitous female nudity (the ever-luscious Michelle Bauer briefly pops up to do one of her standard ubiquitous topless scenes). Oliver's clear'n'crisp cinematography gives the picture an attractive sunny look. Both Jon St. James' groovy score and the bouncy pop-rock soundtrack hit the funky retro 80's spot. An enjoyably inane hoot.
i stumbled across this film late one Saturday night on sky and decided to watch it. i found it to be so rubbish that i loved it. its a typical z rate movie with jokes that are so rubbish they are funny. the hero Rex is supposed to be 18 years old or so and I'm sure the actor playing him is about 40!!!! i would ignore all the rubbishing comments and watch it. it should be a cult film :))) Eba is beautiful and the cave men try to be funny, most people probably wont laugh but i found them class especially the chief and the woman with black scraggy hair. the acting is absolute 3rd rate the dialogue is so rubbish it makes for essential viewing. don't take my word for it though find out for yourself by watching it :)
There are some laughs to be had in this movie but the best thing going for it is the nudity. The best parts are at the beginning and the end but nudity is present throughout the movie mostly in the form of flashing breasts or bathing in a river. This movie is now on DVD and I must say, the video quality is crisp and clear and is presented in widescreen format. Also included is the trailer.
