Trailer Synopsis Cast

Jim Jefferies: I Swear to God: The easily offended might do best to avoid Jim Jefferies’ raunchy, rude humor (or at least imbibe the two-drink minimum beforehand), but the Australian-born comedian provides plenty of laughs for everyone else in this HBO special. In I Swear to God, Jefferies continues his patented brand of comedy that once got him punched by an audience member, discussing the idiocy of no-smoking signs, sluts vs. studs, and his father’s Holocaust jokes.

Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.

Jim is in deep need of prayer! God gave his only begotten son to save our souls.. In order to have your soul saved from sin you have to believe that Jesus is the son of God,ask him to forgive you for your sins and ask him into your heart to help you live a more Godly way!! If you chose to live another way your condemning your soul to be burned in hell for eternity...I'm a 40yr old man that has experienced many miracles from Jesus and am very thankful. To say the things that were said in this sick disgusting comedy act is condemning your soul to hell and having other idiots follow! We pray for you and others to see the light and someday meet Jesus in heaven and have a beautiful eternity that Jesus wants for you and has been crusified for!!

Be warned, this guy isn't for everyone. In fact, I'd say he's probably more often than not going to offend people than make them laugh.Personally, I find him hilarious. I've seen him live at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and he was pure genius. And it's not just a 'guy' thing, either. My girlfriend thinks he's one of the funniest comedians she's ever seen! This show is typical for his style though he was holding back a little at the start and built up to a great finale :) I wasn't sure what an American audience would make of him, to be honest, but he seems to have broken through the dross that normally surrounds a yank's humour gland. He's certainly very different to the usual 'average' comedian they'd get over there like Chris Rock, for example. I mean, they're quite funny but they just don't let rip like Jim :-D

I absolutely loved this. Jim Jefferies could be reading my mind, because I to am Australian and an atheist, and Jim pulls no punches. If you are an atheist, or if you're a Christian but don't take it literally, you can probably watch it and enjoy it. He does also pick on other religions, but Christianity wears the brunt of it.However the religious humour dominates the first half. The second half works into a large story involving a specific sex act that I can't talk about on IMDb, but lets just say keep the kiddies elsewhere.I should also add that, being an Australia, Jim swears like an Australian. So if you don't like swearing I'd steer clear. As for the specific humour, the humour is "working class" and brutal, raw, in your face humour. As in, sexual abuse, physical abuse, child abuse, and so on become part of the jokes.Defiantly not for everyone. The jokes will potentially offend and the subject matter is taboo, but if you can get past it, it's incredibly funny.

The famous Australian comedian Jim Jefferies shows himself up on this HBO special and what's the result we get? A comedy that's so funny you will most likely be unable to stop laughing for the whole hour it lasts. And yes, I'll admit. I cried! :DWhether he jokes about religions, sex, porn, sluts or his childhood experiences you just can't stop admiring this man. He holds up no words, has no boundaries and does absolutely anything he wants. What a great comedian - a complete opposite of Will Farrel and his latest pathetic George Bush show.
