Highly Overrated But Still Good
Don't listen to the Hype. It's awful
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable

Jennifer (Jennifer Fraser) is a bubbly lovable sociopath who likes to film stuff. She wants to film killing someone from the planning phase all the way through the body disposal. Her boyfriend/husband? Farhang (Farhang Ghajar) who is a Persian Ethiopian, or something, goes along with it, as the things we do for love. He has second thoughts and is pushed when he gets cold feet. This is a hand held feature by a couple who spends big bucks for a camera and won't invest in a cheap tripod so they can both chop up a body or dig a grave together. The film is a dark comedy and not as overtly funny as "Psychos in Love." You won't find yourself laughing (hopefully) but will be looking at the complexity of love and human nature. The problem was that the movie was low budget and the filming was bad as if to prove a point. Just because a hand held camera element is in the film, doesn't mean the entire film has to be a hand held camera and shot poorly. We can get the idea if we see someone filming someone else with an occasional view from their camera. I got a deal on E-Bay where the tripod came with the camera. I bet that guy is on Amazon too.6 soft stars for the subject matter. The actual quality of the production lacked merit.Guide: F-word. Sex. No nudity.
This foray into mental illness would not have been possible without the terrific acting of the leads, especially Jennifer Fraser. According to IMDb this is her first movie but I cannot believe this is her first acting job. As both the protagonist and antagonist she truly makes us believe she is who she plays. The actor playing the other lead also is exceptional, though the characters sudden change of perspective mid-way is a bit too sudden. That of course can be attributed to the script and possibly the director. The film also gets pluses for actually having an ending. So many movies today, especially in the hand held\found footage genre, just end without a denouement; leaving the audience to wonder what happened\what will happen. No, this is clear and concise.I wish I could give it more than a 6 but the sudden switch in character tone mid-way which pitted the two leads against each other simply didn't click with me. Had the turnabout character been only playing along to appease their kinky partner that should have shown through more in the first act. Instead, out of nowhere, they becomes reluctant to the point of blaming everything on the other! Regardless, highly recommended if for nothing more than the star making performance by Jennifer Fraser.
I downloaded this movie last night from the play store. I really wasn't expecting much but it was really well made. The female lead is a truly scary character. She puts forth a weird sexuality mixed with this evil desire. Her partner is a hapless loser, that you feel for. I pulled up the cast and was a little surprised they don't have more than a one other credit. Maybe they are acting in commercials? The movie is a great little film. It was obviously filmed on a shoestring budget but don't let that turn you off. I enjoyed the acting and the little bits of humour thrown here and there. I don't usually like the "found footage, first person filming" style, but this time it actually worked. If you get a chance have a little bit of time to kill on an evening, give it a try.
