The acting is good, and the firecracker script has some excellent ideas.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

The Pink Panther does home improvement and decides to heed a narrator's advice to get off his duff and work around the house. This leads one funny mishap after the other, from a runaway buzz-saw to a light that comes on and off automatically in the basement. Classic and funny facial impressions from the panther will serve up some laughs and his tactics in trying to fix stuff, from putting tape around the shower door to accidentally sawing one third of his house off.Very funny stuff here. It's non-stop entertainment and laughs - great for the whole family! Grade A

This is a 7-minute cartoon directed by the legendary Friz Freleng from pretty much exactly 50 years ago and it stars the world's most famous panther. He is busy doing things at home this time, so no handyman won't have to come. However, this may not be the best idea as he gets in trouble with light-bulbs, showers, saws and some more. So he gets wet, keeps falling down the stairs and even accidentally cuts off his own tail. Poor panther. Still I have to say I did not find this one too funny. the ending was weird too. Everybody thought he would shoot the narrator, even the narrator himself, but then he shoots the light-bulb? Or is the light-bulb the actual narrator. I am not sure about that. Anyway, all in all I hoped this would be better. Not recommended.

In this cartoon Pinky is happily lazing about in a hammock when a snooty narrator interrupts and prompts him into doing some DIY instead guiltless relaxation. At first Pinky tries to make something out of wood but ends up sawing part of his house off. And then his tail. While trying to relax in bed he is put off by the sound of his shower leaking. The snooty narrator encourages him to fix it but old Pinky has no idea how to so he just tapes up the shower door and lets it slowly fill up.Finally, tiring of the narrator intrusive nagging he loads up a blunderbuss and scares him away. It's quite funny but don't ask me why there is canned laughter. It's completely pointless.

Pink panther cartoons are certainly consistent. At their worst they are at least watchable. At their best they are, well, watchable. This is an average one.A disembodied narrator tells PP to stop lazing around and get on with some odd jobs around the house. The results are predictably worse than leaving well alone, but every time PP gives up that little voice starts nagging at him again...
