It's a feast for the eyes. But what really makes this dramedy work is the acting.

This is one of the best movies I’ve seen in a very long time. You have to go and see this on the big screen.

This movie centers on a cast of young kids but deals in a heavy way with philosophical and social topics for the expected kids' age range. it is not entertaining, it is not fun to watch, it is not engrossing or interesting. It has some interesting and potentially important concepts but no one in our family or the room enjoyed watching it. It's not funny or enlightening to watch. I'm honestly not sure what the heavy-handed point of this movie was, but watching it was a complete and negative waste of time. Apparently there's a minimum length required for review on this site, I wish there was a minimum level of quality required for movies or that they were at least required to have a point. Entertainment is a great justification and a worthy one. Slapping together a few ideas and some heavy (assuming this suggests meaningful) ideas does not automatically make for a watchable, meaningful or interesting movie.

Saw this the other day expecting a childish fantasy adventure family film but instead what i saw was a movie that deals with divorce and death. the story revolves around 2 families who haven't moved on with a loss of a family member and as a result they get transported to another realm of reality. now don't get too excited highlights of the film come in verbal scenes rather than in visual action scenes. The movies special effects are nowhere to been seen and it's all filmed in one small area. Villains are also visually non existent and are more in the form of wind/fire. The dialogue of the film while being good stuff in a lot of the scenes i found it too complicated/mature for the characters in this film. Which also makes me wonder whether kids watching this film would actually understand it. overall i enjoyed the message of the film but at the same time i feel the deliverance wouldn't capture the attention of kids in 2010.
