Instead, you get a movie that's enjoyable enough, but leaves you feeling like it could have been much, much more.
Entertaining from beginning to end, it maintains the spirit of the franchise while establishing it's own seal with a fun cast
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
Although I seem to have had higher expectations than I thought, the movie is super entertaining.
Sometimes that sounds easier than it is. Like in this case. Or best laid plans as they say. But I really liked the movie. I like the roughness, the not holding back (violence wise it really gets mean and really can grip you too). Of course a lot of things happen in a short time, which some might feel (rightfully so), to be unlikely. But it is a movie and a short one at that, and it does a really good job selling us the frantic pace it sets out for itself. The acting is OK, the cinematography is fitting for the raw nature of the movie. All those things go hand in hand with the directing and the tight script. Again: All considering this isn't a big budget movie and of course not a classic. But not every movie has to be (or can be) a classic. It's more than enough to do a good job and entertain the viewer - one way or another
