Witchblade

This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
One of the most extraordinary films you will see this year. Take that as you want.
Great example of an old-fashioned, pure-at-heart escapist event movie that doesn't pretend to be anything that it's not and has boat loads of fun being its own ludicrous self.
Hmmm... For a start, the movie and the series are in no way connected to the comic except for the names. Other storyline, different behaviour and a completely different background for the Witchblade itself. If you are looking for a good comic adaption, then for crying out loud do not watch this movie or the series - it has nothing to do with the comic. Hardest knock-out hit is Ian Nottingham, as European guy in nerd outfits - please, no!Second, lets talk about the movie / TV-Series. The characters are played in a wooden manner, Sarah Pezzini is at no time believable. The blade itself is displayed as a plastic armor with a build in sword extension, end except for the defensive capabilities, you will not even guess, what all the fuss is about. For people who know and love the comic, i would say it is a 1 / 10, for those who do not know it, you might give a 2 / 10 if you are having a good day and are in a forgiving mood. Best recommendation for you that i can give - DO NOT WATCH IT AND WASTE YOUR TIME!!!
the best thing about the show was the low amount of digital effects they would use. Yes, they dropped in the Matrix freezes and did not overuse the bullet time effects. Yancy Butler not only looked a lot like the comic version, but her eyes and voice was exactly what the character needed. You could never put a blonde with a sqeaky voice in the same role.If you have never seen the show, the location shots were beautiful. Plus the skyline shots with the Twin Towers hits close to the heart. I hate all those people who wanted to remove Tower visuals from movies in the DVD versions.Oh, and the action and belly shirts were great.
This is one of those low-budget miracles, and a great argument against charging tariffs for shooting in Canada. I'm sure purists are rather disappointed at how it strays from the comic book, but from what little I've been able to see of the comic book, I think that Top Cow has let Sarah Pezzini's character stray into Tomb Raider crapdom anyway. What TNT presented was a show with a badly meleagered budget, and had to pit good acting and great scripts against bad special effects. The good acting and the great scripts have more than made up for the annoying strobe lights. I'm looking forward to a second season, and sincerely hoping that the network sees fit to bring this show into long term, full season production. Just KEEP your current writers, and give them lots and lots of raises, they are really making the show.
I loved this movie.LOVED IT!! Did I mention I LOVED THIS MOVIE? Yancy Butler makes such a good cop.I thought this movie was just jam packed with action and drama!I just wish I had recorded the movie when it was on TV-I will never live it down that I didn't.I just wish I had cable so I could watch the show!Hey just think what would happen if Max from Dark Angel and Sarah got together and fought crime together in a movie....that would be so cool!I just don't get why so many people didn't love this movie as much as I did.
