Ma Gang-se (Kang Pil-seon) is branded at work as the pervert professor and in the end, he gets fired. He thinks there's no more reasons to live and leaves on a trip by himself before he commits suicide. On his trip, he meets a mysterious woman named Sara. He spends every night with her and satisfies his erotic fantasies, However, Kang-se starts to suspect her existence as she appears and disappears all the time. I really wanted to like this movie. I feel terribly cynical trashing it, and that's why I'm giving it a middling 5. Actually, I'm giving it a 5 because there were some superb performances.
The biggest problem with this movie is it’s a little better than you think it might be, which somehow makes it worse. As in, it takes itself a bit too seriously, which makes most of the movie feel kind of dull.
One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.
