The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

Each character in this movie — down to the smallest one — is an individual rather than a type, prone to spontaneous changes of mood and sometimes amusing outbursts of pettiness or ill humor.

(8%) After the first ten minutes or so this is a bit of a trial to watch, then the zombies show up and it gets a little better, and when Dawn of the dead legend Ken Foree makes an appearance you start to wonder if this could be something worth investing interest into. Well sadly this isn't worth ten minutes of anyone's time; never mind 90, as this clearly made by annoying zombie movie fans is a huge waste of effort mainly because it's just so lacking in ideas. You really cannot get away with making typical zombie films any more without there being something new or interesting added into the mix to keep things fresh. This has nothing new to offer whatsoever, it's not very well made, the writing is awful, and it has a cheap feel throughout. My advice: stick with the original Night/Dawn/Day of the dead.

Uh-oh! There's been a chemical spill in Serbia, and you know what the means, right? Zombies ahoy! This film doesn't really waste any time getting to the good stuff, which, in a zombie film, basically means it's not long before all our actors are running about shooting shambling corpses in the head and arguing with each other. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking "But wait, there's been about a million of these zombie films out lately, and I'm sick of them." Well, you'd be right, I'm pretty sick of them too, but this one has Ken Foree in it? Remember him? He's the guy who said "When hell is full, the dead will walk the Earth." He says something really similar here, but changed enough so that the film makers don't get sued by George Romero. Ken's a big shot cop on one last gig, helping a rookie cop shift some mysterious guy to some prison somewhere, but on the way they get caught up in all this zombie carry on. The prisoner knows something or other about the zombies, plus there's this other guy who lived in a nunnery who was born to destroy the zombies, so it begins to play out kind of like Assault on Precinct 13 at some point too. You've got to hedge your bets when making a generic zombie film! Throw in some annoying teens and an old guy, and you're all set to go!Look, if you buy this film, you're buying a film called Apocalypse of the Dead. It ain't high art. It ain't a 'game changer', as every movie critic in the world would say. It's an Eastern European zombie film with Ken Foree in it. It wasn't boring and had plenty of the red stuff. It entertained the wife, who very rarely even gets the motivation to sit down with me to watch these things, so that must say something right there.

If this movie is translated from the Croatian language or, even better if the movie is filmed somewhere in Croatia, that would made this movie much better for "dabby1". It seems to me that to you is particularly bothered by the fact that movie is recorded in Serbia. I honestly looked much better films than this, but this movie is not as bad as you wrote, because I watched much worse movies of this genre than this one.Movie has interesting scenes in which I enjoyed, that makes it worthwhile to look.

I really can't stand it when people pass judgement on a film without watching it in it's entirety. This is the first time I'm breaking my own rule. I would like to have watched it, if only to see Ken Foree. Unfortunately, no one told me to bring along my motion sickness patches. Most of the film was filmed, most annoyingly, and for no logical reason, in shaky-cam. I just had to switch off a few minutes in, and back on for the last 10 minutes or so.If it were re-filmed with Steady-cam, I'd be happy to give it another go.Unfortunately I'm unable to submit this without two more lines but that is really all I have to say.
