Touches You
One of my all time favorites.
Although it has its amusing moments, in eneral the plot does not convince.
It's funny, it's tense, it features two great performances from two actors and the director expertly creates a web of odd tension where you actually don't know what is happening for the majority of the run time.
Easily one of my top films of 2017. It stands out as rom-com because it beats to a different drum by allowing the humor to come naturally than forced. Couple that with amazing chemistry between the two leads of Ashley Clements and Brandon Bradley, amazing locations, and you have a film that is really worth watching and owning. For something that was made on a shoe-string budget, this really doesn't feel like it, especially when you have wonderful locations around Turkey to explore with Amy and Josh. It's a fun film that feels like a classic escape piece that really draws you in and it really deserves all the praise it can get!
This film has been on my list ever since I saw that it would reunite some of the Lizzie Bennet Diaries cast-and it was exactly as much fun as I thought it would be! Lovely cinematography, a great script, and sublime acting make this movie a must see for rom-com fans, Lizzie Bennet fans, snow days, and nights in!
I am so proud of everyone involved in this film. A really unique kind of indie rom-com with some gorgeous sequences set in Turkey and two charming leads. This isn't the most surprising of rollercoasters, or the most accomplished thing I've ever seen cinematographically, but as a first feature I think it fully deserves this high rating. Also, I want to see Ashley Clements do more things, always.
Probably the most original premise for a romantic comedy I've ever seen. Great acting, great writing, great direction. Brendan Bradley and Ashley Clements have fantastic chemistry - you truly root for these characters to get together. The Turkey locations are breathtakingly gorgeous and I now absolutely want to visit. Highly recommend this movie. I loved it!
