Surprisingly incoherent and boring
It's a movie as timely as it is provocative and amazingly, for much of its running time, it is weirdly funny.
It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
A terrific literary drama and character piece that shows how the process of creating art can be seen differently by those doing it and those looking at it from the outside.
Seems a nice enough, mythologic flick.Unfortunately, the mythology of my upbringing doesn't involve the myths of Finland. So, I am left to wonder of their stories, and watch this story as a Foreign Film. Which for me, it is.Still, it is a Hero Tale. Something that seems common and transcends cultural boundaries. Initially, the animation seemed simple; simplistic would be a better term. Especially for one raised on the Hanna-Barbera offerings of the '60s and '70s.I recommend Youse sit back and enjoy a fun story for a Winter's night.
I'm sorry if I sound so negative, but if I could give this movie a zero rating, I would.I was excited to see this movie yesterday, as it looked promising and fun, just like all the other Christmas movies I have seen as a child. The poster was inviting, with all the colors and tag lines making it seem interesting to watch even for adults like me.Cut to the chase, it was a boring movie. The plot is so predictable, not enough characters and even the soundtrack was awful. I hope the kids that have seen this movie would not be traumatized enough to see more Christmas movies in the future.
