Perfect cast and a good story
Great Film overall
This story has more twists and turns than a second-rate soap opera.
Story: It's very simple but honestly that is fine.
When my sister gave me this movie to watch, I just thought it would be 'just another manageable movie'. I was dead wrong! It was very, very funny. The plot was well laid. One thing led to another and then another. It started with an oraclist that was a white man (Mr Bones). He had been lost in Africa and had been adopted by an African king. The king had no son and desperately needed one. Mr Bones was then sent to the 'sun city' to bring home the king's son that the oracle showed existed. Mr Bones arrived at the city and mistakenly assumed the king's son was Vince Lee (a superstar golf player) who happened to be at the city at that point in time. Mr Bones was pretty sure he was the prince because he was called "the prince" by his fans. Upon meeting Mr Bones, Vince Lee called him a 'bone head' and this made Mr Bones even more sure that this was indeed the prince since he already knew his name. All in all this movie was really a very enjoyable one. You never stop laughing throughout the movie. You've got to see this.
Don't waste the electricity to run this one. Crude humour all through..on..& on..& on. Just when you think they have stopped another splurts. I only continued to watch as a friend said it was good. I think it's the last time I will trust her.
One thing that appears to be a safe assumption is that this movie isn't made for Germans or Austrians, all others read on!As an American living in South Africa for the past two years, I probably have a bit more insight on the film than other foreigners, but I thought it was hilarious. I haven't laughed that hard at a movie since the slo-mo melon sequence in Ice Age.Anyone who likes Adam Sandler or any of the American Pie films would at least appreciate this movie, even if they don't get all the intricacies of the jokes (you know, like a 300lb pig flying through the air like a cruise missile). Aside from shamelessly juvenile jokes, the film has a surprisingly tight story, and doesn't pretend to be anything it's not. The performances do the job, and all in all the movie's a riot. I had avoided seeing it for two years but recently caught it on DVD and was completely surprised. Easily makes 8/10, and is the best comedy I've seen in a long, long time.
This "movie" is literally THE worst peace of junk I ever watched, this includes Tuesday night German soap reruns! This flick is just so crappy, you wouldn't believe it. It's basically about a medicine-man of a South African tribe, who gets sent on a quest to find the chief's alledged son. That son has turned into a professional golfer and isn't quite aware of his royal descent - and as Mr. Bones shows up, he sincerely doubts everything the mad medicine-man tells him. Yadiyadiyah...and so on. So here's what I criticize about this flick: it's just flat out boring. That could be ok, if it was at least funny - it IS a comedy - but even that the movie doesn't accomplish! And here's why: all the jokes are about getting pooped on or pooping someone. Oh...I forgot to mention the running gag of a little pig falling out of a plane, pooping while falling! I think you get the picture! So, in case your ever intend to rent this, think about what I said!
