I love this movie so much

There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.

The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

All of these films share one commonality, that being a kind of emotional center that humanizes a cast of monsters.

Which actress played the college student being eaten by the giant spider? I believe it was during the scene when the spider causes havoc around the campus. She is knocked down by another student during the panic and was seen by the two main characters being lifted between the spider's fangs, struggling and screaming. I know the character scene was short, but i want to know if her name was unaccredited or not. I will see if i can find a photograph of the character from the movie if you ask. I will see if someone by the name of BlkChameleon has something like that called Spiders Vore, if so I will make sure he sends the IP address to show it.

Coming from the same people who gave us the bloody awful Octopus movies, I fully expected Spiders to be a complete stinker; I'm glad to report, however, that this cheapo big-bug movie is a lot more fun than I thought it would be (hey, I might even go so far as to say that it was actually rather good!).The film stars Lana Parrilla as spunky college reporter Marci who, along with a couple of pals, infiltrates a top-secret government base where the sole survivor of a space-shuttle disaster has been taken for observation. Unfortunately for Marci and her fellow 'snoopers', the unlucky astronaut has been impregnated by a genetically mutated spider, and it's not long before a huge, ravenous arachnid emerges from his body to feed...The story, by prolific writer Boaz Davidson, is completely predictable B-movie hokum, and the visual effects vary from the reasonably impressive to the completely naff, but with decent pacing from director Gary Jones, some nice gore make-up and creature effects from KNB, and a cast who look like they're having loads of fun with the clichéd schlock-horror material, Spiders passes the time very nicely.If you love cheesy sci-fi featuring over-sized monsters on the rampage, then you should have a great time with this one.

This movie is so fake. I mean, if this movie was produced in 1975, it would've been a great movie. But with the current (or back in 2000) computer-animated special effects, they could've done it better! Already in the beginning at the part where the space-shuttle exploded, I could clearly see it was fake. Not to mention the spider 'Mother in law' itself... almost hilarious to see. It moved on like it was guided by strings and looked like it was made of plastic. This can be clearly seen in the part where 'mother-in-law' crawls out of the astronaut's body and flees along the walls. The story itself isn't so thrilling either. A spider being injected by an alien DNA in space. God knows where that alien DNA came from. As far as I can tell, it wasn't told in the movie (maybe I fell asleep of boredom). No, next time it appears on television, I'll pass.

OK now the idea for this movie is something really cool considering that the Spiders pull an Alien laying their eggs inside of people and with the whole Area 51 set up all ending with the 1 spider going on a rampage through the city at the end, But! the performance was very disappointing, had the cast been better executing their roles and putting more emotion (well the lead girl did a pretty good job), not to mention if the effects were a lot better this movie would b a hit, sadly it just turned out to be a movie with a ton of potential but falls short with the final cut. I have to say that the lead girl did a good job with her character, having her start off as an average young lady trying to make her way and gradually turning into a character that resembles Ripley from the Alien Franchise. Her role and the plot r the only 2 things that make this movie watchable.
