Highly Overrated But Still Good
Good story, Not enough for a whole film
Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Great story, amazing characters, superb action, enthralling cinematography. Yes, this is something I am glad I spent money on.
That's Abhinav Kashyap's contribution to a film that could have easily just remained a competent action. Instead he takes it a notch higher, making talkative a character worth remembering, who wears dark glasses because he wants to hide the fact that his eyes occasionally well up with tears and who almost pukes before calling his much hated stepfather "papa". There's a freshness in the idiom which comes from an utter lack of self consciousness. This is not Deepika Padukone and Neil Nitin Mukesh trying to be Marathi chawl kids. This is the real stuff, or as real as Salman can make his acting--it's as if he is winking at the audience all along, saying catch me if you can.
starting Salman khan & sonakshi sinha dabangg 2010 is overpraised & overrated film in Indian cinema along with other salman movies like ready & bodyguard.Salman cant make good moves now he make only money by giving these so called spicy mass entertainer film. this film story is not that great but also it ripped the dark knight music & other Hollywood scenes & people loved it. what a stupid audience it is who love crap like this.i mean please a corrupt cop with a mustache kick and slapping people in the town for no reason.breaks into crazy dance music plus also abuses his brother played by his real life brother Arbaz khan who is also a producer of this movie. sonakshi & sonu sood looking great but Salman is worst actor ever always he gets naked & shows his body does cheesy roles in every movie what the hell man.plus this movie is highest grossing movie of India .such a shame to cinema
As the unstoppable Macho-man, Salman Khan excels in action sequences. He is, of course known to be stiff and it becomes very apparent while he is dancing but it is fun to watch no doubt, when he lets loose in most songs and just goes wild. Delivering bhojpuri dialogs, threats and romanticism, Salman Khan earns your whistling and hooting. Wanted and Dabangg both would've been catastrophic flops if it weren't for Salman re-inventing himself. Here, he doesn't look like he is out to prove that point. Most of the time, you can see him simply enjoying himself. Arbaaz Khan is passable but could've been sillier to add to the fun as Makhi. Om Puri, Vinod Khanna and Anupam Kher in cameos were superlative while Mahesh Manjrekar delivered a shockingly good performance as a drunkard father. Sonu Sood has been better in 'Jodha Akbar' but he is quite adequate as Chulbul Pandey's adversary. Newcomer Sonakshi Sinha looks beautiful, can put up a straight face pretty well and can compete well against her contemporaries.
Hey Guys , I agree with the review "Snobs" . I feel that expecting an entertainment pot boiler to be a David Lynch's master piece is exactly what's bringing out the snobbery of the viewers who gave a low rating to this movie. A humble request , please go back to watching National Geographic or the History channel for your "realism " and please stop "brown nosing" Hollywood flicks, even your great Master film maker like Steven Spielberg has made cringe worthy movies like the last Indiana Jones , where Monkeys and Shia Lebouf are performing cartoon antics . In comparison Dabangg is a no nonsense film from a no nonsense action star/ actor Mr Salman Khan . Why don't you haters stick to your altar and continue your worship of "every thing - foreign- must -be -good" temple and leave movies like Dabangg for the rest of us to enjoy it purely for entertainment's sake . Hats off to Mr Khan and we request more sequels and prequels please . Thanks for entertaining us . I wish you all the very best Mr Salman Khan.
