But within seconds, the chief provokes a showdown with his lazy deputies. Realizing that they are not up to the job, he enlists the help of some of his prisoners, offering pardons to those who survive the encounter with the gang. These include a widower (Wang Yung Sheng), imprisoned for killing the men who murdered his wife, a knife-throwing expert (Lung Fei) also doing time for the murder of a corrupt magistrate, a pickpocket, and a young orphan girl out to avenge her parents' death. The chief reveals his coldblooded dedication to the mission when he hangs one prisoner for trying to escape. The group - both prisoners and police - ultimately bond together and track down the gang's headquarters to find the leader (Chen Hsing). While it is a pity that the story wasn't told with more visual finesse, this is trivial compared to our real-world problems. It takes a good movie to put that into perspective.

I enjoyed watching the 50 episodes and although the acting is pretty poor it's worth watching. Another thing that annoyed me was reading the subtitles the whole series, it would of been more authentic if it had subtitles at the beginning in China but once he was in America switched it to English. I still enjoyed it, the guy that plays Bruce Lee looks and acts exactly like him and the action scenes are quite good. I highly recommend this series, especially if your a huge Bruce Lee fan like myself. The legend of Bruce Lee lives on through this series. Loved it.

I'm a big Bruce Lee fan, own a few of his biographies, and have read a lot about his life on the Internet. Judging by some of the past reviews, I know this series is not going to please the die-hard fanatics who insist that every facet of his life be represented accurately on the screen. Most hardcore Lee fans know, for instance, that Bruce Lee was injured in the gym in 1970, not in the Wong Jack Man fight as portrayed in this series. However, despite many historical inaccuracies, this is still a great and watchable drama. I feel like if I want to learn more about Bruce Lee's actual life, then I'll stick to firsthand sources like Leo Fong and Linda Lee. But if I want to be entertained by a series which features very skilled acting, directing, incredible pacing (each episode focuses on a small event in the fictional Bruce Lee's life and gives appropriate time to each of these segments), this is not the worst show for that.

This is not "The" Bruce Lee, the whole story is seriously a fake if the title are referring to the late Bruce Lee. Why is this movie borrowing Bruce Lee big name and look at IMDb review on this movie. This movie story is a joke. This is a new character called Bruce Lee. Really disappointed as a Bruce Lee fan. I really can't describe how disappointed i am.And this movie is produced by her own daughter. Why she don't stick with the true story. Honor history of the true legend. And seriously, why is he roar like tiger? He is born in dragon. DRAGON. OMG. This movie makes me sad.
