That was an excellent one.
Really Surprised!
I don't have all the words right now but this film is a work of art.
The movie turns out to be a little better than the average. Starting from a romantic formula often seen in the cinema, it ends in the most predictable (and somewhat bland) way.

In this movie Amitabh Bachchan portraits the role of pandit ji who is a chess master and Farhan Akhtar portraits the role of Daanish Ali who is a police officer. In the very beginning of the movie daughter of Daanish killed by some terrorists and same kind of thing happened with daughter of Pandit ji. Overall story of the movie is quite short, simple. The overall movie is full of love and emotions and reflects the true meaning of promise. The sound and picture quality is quite good. Both the actors does good acting and played their role effectively. After watching this movie I learned the real meaning of chess and I would say that life is like a game of chess, from very beginning to the end. I liked this movie very much because its story is quite different from other Bollywood movies and I feel that this move may help the people to realize the power of friendship, love and promise. I would suggest that people should watch this movie with friends and family and most importantly watch is fully and consciously otherwise you may lose the real symbolism of chess.
A pawn and rook game checkmates the king but never learns to mind the surroundings...There's so much to appreciate about this film but somehow it falls short of being perfect. The good things first.Director Bejoy Nambiar choose the perfect cast for the film and manages to deliver a brilliant screenplay. The film starts off in style with a slow motion video song portraying the life of Daanish Ali(Farhan Akhtar) and his family.Right after it takes up the pace of a thriller.A cop and a chess grand master separated by time & connected by a similar tragedy meet together to hunt down their common evil king in this intelligent thriller. The plot is the most powerful part of this film.It uses the real life characters metaphorically with the chess pieces on a chessboard. Vidhu Vinod Chopra's story was exceptional in Bollywood. The film packs itself up in only 105 minutes which is quite rare in Bollywood. But its short duration and fast pace is its advantage as well as its disadvantage. The film runs apace and never waits for emotions to build up correctly. The presence or absence of the characters make no difference but the selfish plot keeps going. If only the director gave the movie a little more run time.Besides all other things are very impressive. The technique is a class in this movie and so are its dialogues. The music is also good.A rare duration & stylish screenplay make Wazir a unique film, some bonus stars for the intellectual plot; somehow I felt it is underrated.A must watch for those who often criticize Bolly movie plots.I bet you'll never be disappointed.
'Wazir' showcases a beautiful analogy between the life of a chess player and the game of chess.A wheelchair-bound chess grandmaster(Amitabh Bachchan) befriends a traumatized ATS officer Daanish (Farhan Akhtar), who recently lost his daughter. The grandmaster/Panditji is himself grieving the loss of his daughter who died in a mysterious accident. Panditji accuses the Welfare Minister of murdering her, and with his new friend fights for justice. As Daanish gets intensely involved in the case, Wazir enters the game, apparently sent by Welfare Minister to eliminate Panditji. Now, Daanish must protect Panditji from the mysterious Wazir. The plot consistently focuses on the battle of the weak pawn, Panditji, with the mighty king, the Welfare Minister. The weak pawn seeks the help of his friend the rook, Daanish, to defeat the king. The story takes twists and turns as the battle for justice transforms into the hunt of Wazir. The story's secondary focus is on Daanish's life which is falling apart after the death of his child and the subsequent separation from his wife. A story told with chess as the reference frame, chemistry between the characters of Bachchan and Farhan, and the emotional state of a grieving father are the highlights of this movie. The film is not very long considering the intricateness of the plot and some events in it could have been extended. Mr. Bachchan and Farhan deserve a special mention for their impressive performances.Watch this movie for its climax.
