Strong and Moving!
Excellent, smart action film.
Excellent adaptation.
Through painfully honest and emotional moments, the movie becomes irresistibly relatable
I have to admit that I had a lot of fun watching Knots. Despite it being a little predictable, it was a funny and enjoyable movie. The plot was pretty original and I just loved how the character, Dave, was just in so much denial throughout the movie. He, along with all the other characters, brought so much to what could've been a pretty bad movie.Dave and his wife are having a few "marital" problems in the bedroom. When they go on a double date with Dave's best friend and his new lovely date, Lily, things take a different turn when Dave finds Lily in bed with his wife, Greta! Greta is now convinced she is a lesbian and divorces Dave. His friends Cal and Jake help him move on, but Dave makes his own plunge by sleeping with Greta's lovely girlfriend, Lily. Cal is also cheating on his fiancée, Emily, she finds out finally when Jake accidentally tells her. Jake is also falling for Emily as well.Could this knotted web be finally untangled? You'll have to find out. It's a fun film that you get a few laughs out of.7/10
Superb acting by entire cast ! If you are not a Stamos fan, you will be after watching this. He steals the performance from right under the other actors in every scene. His plays a sleazy character but does it so well that you want to root for him. Michael Leydon Campbell is so lovable - kind of a guy every girl wants but does not go for. Even the storyline about the married couple gets interesting and leaves you wanting to know what happens to them. The movie is about love / commitment from guys' point of view. And it's surprising how similar and how different it is from girls' POV. However,if you are easily offended then this movie is not for you.
Knots is that little known film that just seemed to work. You left the the theater laughing for a change. At last a non-violent, non- cartoon film that's worth seeing. An actual comedy that's entertaining without sight gags. Dating, marriage, infidelity, and cross genre infidelity. There was plenty of wit, plot, and humor to move the film along. Paulina P. was beautiful and surprisingly good. John Stamos was very funny and believable as that 30 something guy . The NY locations were great to see , particularly the Brooklyn scenes. Originally saw this at the Gen Art festival, unedited. Try to catch this version as I understand the edited version took a little teeth out of it
I saw this at the Gen Art film festival in New York and I laughed my ass off. It's a great comedy about the dynamics that modern urban relationships can take. It is at once comic, tragic and outrageous. The dichotomy between the honest yet ruthless redhead relationship crusher and the thoughtless infidelity carried out by John Stamos is fascinating.Great Script Fun movieCan't wait to add it to my DVD collection.
