This is one of the few movies I've ever seen where the whole audience broke into spontaneous, loud applause a third of the way in.

what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.

Worst. Movie. Ever. The costumes and dialogue are so corny, maybe it loses something in the translation, but I can't imagine it being much better in Dutch. My daughter watched it (she's 5), but it was pretty painful for me to sit through. The storyline itself wasn't that bad, predictable, but slightly entertaining. It was just the cheese factor that went into the movie that makes it so bad. There are a couple of times during the movie that the characters burst into song. I'm all for a good musical, but in this case, it just adds to the cheese factor, and they could have at least found people who could carry a tone to do the voice overs.

The idea that a children's movie would have two men looking down the barrel of a gun is a serious problem. I started watching this movie with my children during a movie night. Once the two men looked down the barrel of the gun we turned it off. It will be returned to red box where we rented it. I would suggest to any other parents that want to rent a movie for their children, look elsewhere. We are a second amendment family, and know that this is not appropriate behavior when handling a gun. If my children were not steeped in gun proper gun handling procedures, they would believe it was common place or practice to look down the barrel of any gun. In this day and age with parents not being able to or not wanting to be part of their children's lives, I suggest that Hollywood do a better job portraying gun safety. Im sure this is just another way that Hollywood is trying to make gun users out to be bad guys, and even stupid. I get that, but to endanger children at the same time, is despicable.

Appropriate for the whole family--most families, that is. I had the opportunity of watching the Americanized version so the dialog didn't sync with the lips.Parents should be cautioned that there is some toilet humor. Specifically, a spell is conjured, which is called "Fart Feathers" (this may have been only in the Americanized version). If not, I find it somewhat irritating that the writers felt that they had to resort to such cheap "humor"; especially when it just isn't funny. Leave the toilet humor to Adam Sandler.Fuchsia the Mini-Witch has a pro-environment theme. No problem here but some (myself included) feel that this theme has been beaten to death. The little girls are cute and it looks like they had fun with the movie. Acting, for the most part, is C+ but typical of this type of production. All in all, a good movie to watch at home while you're doing something else (a background movie that any nine-year-old might enjoy).

Foeksia de miniheks is a pretty straightforward kids movie, and I have nothing wrong about that.Actually, the movie is -although linear and predictable-, watchable for anyone. There's nothing wrong with this movie, the acting is OK, there's a good effort in the costumes and stages, the use of colour is attractive and the characters are likable. What I liked the most is that the movie doesn't recur to bad slapstick or toilet humour, like other -cofcofAmericancofcof- do, and I appreciate that since I found that dumbed down resources very irritating.I wouldn't recommend strongly the movie to anyone, but it's fun to watch when you are bored and/or with your family.
