I like the storyline of this show,it attract me so much
It is not deep, but it is fun to watch. It does have a bit more of an edge to it than other similar films.
It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.
I was expecting more balanced story between who He was and who He became, but that doesn't happens here. Instead, 90 % of the movie is concentrated on who He became and it is done well with thoughtful dialogs.Unfortunately it depicts a little of His violent past, blurry presented, and far from enough so we can feel the change. It is a warm story nicely told, but also doesn't goes beyond that, doesn't surprises, but follows a firmly determined line, and in the end instead culminating, slowly fades. However a good job is done her, since this is a hard story to tell. In the end I must say, a great performance by Jamie Foxx, well transformation.
which is coincidently the B-Day of the fabulous Actor Jamie Foxx who portrayed him in this film. This is one of many reasons for the Controversy. Jamie portrayed not only Williams very well, but thousands of others who have been seduced into the "Way of the Gangsta".This film is too powerful for most comprehend. Especially those who have never had to struggle. It is true that Hollywood glamorizes gang behavior, but, thats its job. No matter how glamorous the evil looks, in the end there is always jail and death. Tookie Williams made a change in the real world and Jamie conveys that on the Big Screen. I honestly believe that now Tookie has been EXECUTED, its no longer just a film, its something greater.http://www.cnn.com/2005/LAW/12/13/williams.execution/
There needs to be more movies showing what happens to kids involved with gangs. As of today Mr Stan Tookie Williams is dead. Hollywood has always glamorized gangsters but the reality is prison and death row are not fun, and there is no glamor about it. As Tupac said Only God can judge me. Well I guess Arnold gave Tookie a head start on Gods Judgement. It's to bad they killed him on Jamie Foxs birthday. I'd like to read Mr. Williams books. In my opinion if he had been white and had parents that were there for him he'd never of ended up on death row. Racism and classism are profound in the USA and its not going to change until the privileged people are willing to look at their privilege and let it go. Ps. I am white and have witnessed gang shootings by black kids. Those were real bullets and real blood that day. There needs to be more choices for these kids
I watched the movie and think like what every one else thinks. Once your locked up and facing a long sentence of course your going to change or find god. So, what ever happened to tookie because at the end of movie it doesn't say. I know that he was still awaiting death role but did he die or what? Also, does anyone know what the real Stan Willams looked like? Did he have kids before going too prison? People can change so, you cant say that he was full of it when he started writing children's books. I too don't believe in the death pentaitly. I also think that he was serous about changing. And that is all i have to say. If anyone can answer these questions please do so because i'm curious.
