Terrible acting, screenplay and direction.
A film with more than the usual spoiler issues. Talking about it in any detail feels akin to handing you a gift-wrapped present and saying, "I hope you like it -- It's a thriller about a diabolical secret experiment."
Strong acting helps the film overcome an uncertain premise and create characters that hold our attention absolutely.
Actress is magnificent and exudes a hypnotic screen presence in this affecting drama.
I like the new vampire movies, so this one was on my list. It's nothing like Twilight, just saying (I liked Twilight, but I know there are a lot of people who are not very fond of the whole shiny-vampire-romance). This is definitely nothing like it. I did read the review that was written here on IMDb, and so I did not expect much of it, but it was a nice movie. I had a couple of laughs, definitely did not waste my time, and there are some pretty nasty things going on, made it interesting. Couldn't help but thinking it was kinda like a mix between American Pie and Buffy. So if you like fantasy, bloodsucking hot teenage girls & bad jokes - watch it.
I am more of a British comedy fan than American, but even tho this movie has a 4, it is amusing enough if you want an airy story on a Wednesday night. It's not a big masterpiece, but for some weird reason I still enjoyed watching it. Even tho it's storyline if far beyond bad. During the movie I sometimes grew big big question marks above my head, since some scenes are too ridiculous to watch. But some of the jokes in it were actually really funny and made me laugh. I love vampire movies, even bad ones, and that is a big part of why I still recommend it to some people. Or maybe it is because it has a big what the f... factor in it. It is a bit like Sharknado: it is so weird and ridiculous that you have to watch it.
It's a perfectly fine movie. I hate when people critic movies so harshly for no reason at all. I went to the 'Forrest Gump' IMDb and saw the pompous things people wrote about it, and I just can't imagine why you need to be cynical SO MUCH that you are mean about light-hearted movies like Forrest and obviously silly movies like Vamp U. I just don't understand what people are looking for out of a movie with a college girl's boobs as the film cover. If you are expect nothing, then you'll pleasantly find it's actually got pretty solid comedy, especially if you don't mistake the purposeful awkwardness as bad acting. If you are sick of browsing Netflix for two hours only to end up watching ANOTHER documentary about lions or history, just watch this.
When I came across this movie on here with a 4.0 rating I thought it was going to be pure trash, but after reading the review by Ed_Blackadder I became very interested and decided it was worth a go. Was it...?It was! Very much so. This movie is AWEsome! TONS of full-bodied laughs and that Matt Mattson is soOoOo dreamy! No, but seriously, I'm looking forward to checking out some of these actors' other works if I can find them.In conclusion: Solid movie all the way through. A couple of parts are iffy but easily forgivable. I'm confident you will not regret giving this film the time of day.
