As a rogue planet roars through our solar system, it acts as an intergalactic magnet that pulls Earth in its wake. Meteors destroy major cities. Fire and ice storms engulf the land. Casualties are in the millions. And as the situation grows even worse, Steve Lannon is determined to reunite with his wife and teenage daughter. But when they stumble into a secret government installation, they'll uncover a nuclear mission that will either blast our planet back into orbit or guarantee front row seats to the end of the world.

Let me be very fair here, this is not the best movie in my opinion. But, this movie is fun, it has purpose and is very enjoyable to watch.
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
It is encouraging that the film ends so strongly.Otherwise, it wouldn't have been a particularly memorable film
EARTHFALL is yet another generic science fiction disaster flick made by the SyFy Channel, exactly the same as all the rest they've done over the years. A massive asteroid passes too close to Earth and upsets our gravitational field, causing the planet to spin out of control; a whole wave of natural disasters follow. The usual bunch of TV actors, down on their luck to a man, attempt to figure out a way to stop things. This is good if you like watching terrible CGI effects of cities being destroyed and devastated, but for anyone with real taste in cinema it will be a chore to sit through.
I only have four things to say about this movie Terrible acting, terrible script, terrible direction. Finally number four if this movie cost more than $5.00 (£3.50) to make the audience who went to see it wuz robbed.I lied. I do have something else to say.SPOILDR BEGINS The movie is about a comet the size of a pea pulling the Earth out of its orbit and dragging the Earth into who knows where and of course it is up to an ensemble of no hopers to save the world and the human race.SPOILER ENDS Heard this plot before? I know you have and I bet the other movies with this type of plot were ten time better. My only advice to your all is to forget it.One final thing, dear IMDb please allows us to rate a movie zero because lets face it some movies are not worth even a one.
With anticipation high after reading the plot summary - A rogue planet roars through our solar system. It acts as an intergalactic magnet that pulls Earth in its wake..... Sounds good? Well I had high hopes of a fun B Grade classic. To the directors / writers credit they did use every cliché available and the effects were as expected for a low budget production. The acting could have been better but there is potential for Denyse Tontz who was the best of the group and did have some credibility. The plot moves along and the story keeps you engaged enough as tension builds for the climatic finale. Then BOOM it's over. No idea if the solution that the world agreed upon worked or what.... just the end. This was the reason I didn't give it a 5/10.
I managed to sit through around 20 minutes of this film before the appalling script, rather poor acting and unimpressive special effects proved too much for me. Some of the early dialogue was abysmal and totally unconvincing which made the characters saying it also unconvincing. I couldn't find one central character with whom I could invest or relate too - a fatal flaw in any movie of this type.I watch a lot of films covering many genres and like sci-fi especially but after being spoilt by TV series like Falling Skies and Defiance - to mention two examples - the mediocrity of this offering was highlighted even more.I almost never give up on a film but in this case I really didn't care what happened as I have better things to do with my life.I'm sure others may enjoy it - but not me.
