One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.

By the time the dramatic fireworks start popping off, each one feels earned.

The film never slows down or bores, plunging from one harrowing sequence to the next.

Good plot wasted by poor direction.The movie had a good plot or an okay twist but the direction, script & editing spoiled it. Some stupid cliché scenes. Most of the actors were acting as if they were tired & sleepy. Some even tried to overact too much. The movie was dragged too much & have lots of loop holes.It also plays with your patience unnecessarily. The jokes are just terrible it doesn't even bring a smile on your face. The climax of the film & few scenes with srk as a don are good compared to the other scenes.Some fight sequences are okay are some are just bad. overacted at some parts. Its better if you re-watch the original don again rather than wasting time on it.

Honestly, this movie has everything: good music, action, great actors, great direction.You can't compare this with the original: it's not the same movie, not the same actors, not even the same plot. Even the songs are different, though it sounds like the same tune. SRK is one thing and Amit-ji another: Shah Rukh is the Baadshah and Big B a legend.The makers completely changed the crappy old story of 1978 Don into a new action movie, and not a bad 'cliché' one like Krrish. THis movie beats MI/MI2/MI3 by far! Because it's got both good action and good actors, that make it look credible.SRK is THE best and it shows, Priyanka rocks, Boman Irani is good and so is Om Puri. There are good entertaining songs like 'Yeh Mera Dil' (way better than the original), 'Khaike Paan Banaraswala' (same), 'Morya Re',... Even the theme is nice! Can't wait for Don 2!!!

The problem with remaking a classic film is that chances are you're going to make it worse, and be judged more harshly than you would if you made a new film. The remake of DON would be mediocre even if it wasn't being compared to one of the most entertaining films of all time. We already more or less know the story, and the new twists that are added to keep it fresh make little or no sense. SRK pales next to Amitabh's multifaceted performance, and the sheer cheesy fun of the original is mostly absent. The sub-par music is the final nail in the coffin. Only the action is better done here (though Malaysia makes a beautiful setting).Next time try remaking a really bad film, then you might at least get credit for improving it!

this one is the FARHAN AKTARS directorial challenge that he fulfilled by bringing an action packed tech-no output film.He took right moves by signing SHAHRUKH KHAN in this venture but the death of the KAREENA KAPOOR is a bit heart breaking in the first half hour for the males.BUT still PRIYANKA CHOPRA ex-miss world managed to capture the viewers till the end through her sex appeal and acting skills n don came out to be a winner for FARHAN AKTARS after a bit unsuccessful venture of him called "lakshya".He would not have been able to promote the film successfully without the equal participation and elongated network of the famous media house called UTV.
