Admirable film.
A Masterpiece!
It's entirely possible that sending the audience out feeling lousy was intentional
There is, somehow, an interesting story here, as well as some good acting. There are also some good scenes

If you love Scott Adkins from those awesome Undisputed movies you will not be disappointed by Ninja is action packed and it moves really fast like literally this film is really fast especially all those punches and kicks that the bad guys get in the face by Adkins also Masazuka was a pretty cool villain and i love it when he went against Casey really great film and a love letter to the 80's and 90's and you won't be disappointed and it should be way higher in this list.
Sigh, where to begin with this mess? American films about ninja are never good, but I thought that since Scott Adkins was in it, it was worth checking out.Unfortunately, the ludicrous beginning only set the scene for the badness to come, as clichés gave way to thoroughly inept acting and comic-esque villains who were infinitely more cheesy than intimidating.Honestly struggling not to turn it off after 10 minutes, I somehow lasted 30 until the pain got the better of me and I thought I owed it to myself, as a decent human being, to watch something else instead.Nut shell: if you want martial arts, action, suspense or even tolerable acting, check out something else.
The plot is pretty weak in this movie, and lacks a really intense story, despite trying so hard to be intense. It gets by on some incredible fights with Scott Adkins, and quite frankly, I bet I'm not alone when it comes to people watching this movie, simply because of Adkins. It starts off a little slowly in the first half. Tsuyoshi Ihara provides some great intensity, and some good villainy, but it lacked the proper excitement for me. Once the second half begins, things really begin to heat up. The action is so strong, you tend to block out the average story. If Adkins's subway fight sequence isn't enough for you, then Adkins's going completely ballistic in the finale, by making many martial artists look foolish will definitely hit the spot. This guy is incredible, and if given the chance, he could be the action star the genre has lacked since the heyday of the 80's action heroes. I wouldn't call it a great performance, but he acquits himself decently. If you're not blown away by some of Adkins's moves, I really question your judgment. His love story with Mika Hijii isn't anything groundbreaking, but it's moving enough. Speaking of Mika Hijii, she's far from a damsel in distress. Not only does this woman kick major ass, but she takes a beating like a champ. I cringed in some of those scenes, but she held her own big time. It's pretty violent, if you like that sort of thing. I personally like violence. The finale is a bit over the top with the dramatics, but it does the jobFinal Thoughts: See it for some of the terrific action scenes. Scott Adkins won't let you down. As long as you keep in mind that it's not a great movie, you should be able to find mild enjoyment. I didn't mind it. I'm actually curious about the upcoming sequel5.3/10
A crackling good try at a new Ninja Movie release, this one has all the expected fights and flaws that Fans have come to expect. It is a non-stop Action Movie and the Ninja handle is there for a background Story and is included in parts of the fighting but not all.It is a hybrid of sorts and not pure in in its Title's intent. There are a lot of Guns to go with the Bows and Swords and of course there is a lot of Hand-to-Hand. The Star's athletic charisma and Skill is Awesome and his petite companion is quite feisty, but she takes a lot of punishment and the Macho Man is there a bit too often to order her to "hit the deck" or in true Chivalrous fashion, rescue her from bludgeoning or Death. All of the B Movie clichés are here to make fun but the Movie is so neat looking and hyper-kinetic that the Viewer hardly has time to be annoyed. The most glaring is the obligatory fight that is the showcase for the Hero to fight 10-1 to show off his chops (a Jason Statham trademark).Of course in this Scene all the Bad Guys are mysteriously without Guns that were there just a minute before. But that would put an end to the ever present elongated choreographed Kung-Fu Dance that could be called the "Hero vs Everybody at Once" part.Overall Worth a Watch for Action Fans and B-Movie Lovers.
