Michael Ansara's voice is perfect for Mr. Freeze, and of all the villains on the Batman cartoon, he was the most sympathetic. He has a plan to save his wife's life only it will cost Barbara Gordon hers. Excellent film.

This direct to video animated Batman movie stars the voice talents of Kevin Conroy as Batman/Bruce Wayne, Michael Ansara as Mr.Freeze/Dr. Victor Fries, and Loren Lester as Robin/Dick Grayson. This is another movie from my childhood that I used to watch a lot on VHS, and still enjoy watching it to this day. Some of the things I love about this movie are first off, the animation and character designs. This is actually the last animated Batman movie to feature the original character designs from the animated series, which are my favorite designs of the Batman characters in animated form. They then changed the characters designs for the New Batman Adventures series, which I do like some of the new designs, but nothing beats the originals in my opinion.Next thing I love is the voice acting, Kevin Conroy is awesome as usual, but I also love Michael Ansara as the voice of Mr. Freeze, I think he did an outstanding job, and his performance gives me chills (no pun intended) every time I hear his voice as Mr. Freeze. He's my favorite Mr. Freeze, and is in my opinion, the best interpretation of the character.Overall I really don't have any complaints about this movie, I think its one of the best animated Batman movies, next to Mask Of The Phantasm, which is still my favorite. I highly recommend this movie to fans of the animated series, since this movie is basically based off of it. I'd give it an 8 out of 10.

Batman Subzero is what Batman and Robin should have been. This movie, like Mask of The Phantasm, is a animated movie based on Bruce Timm's animated series. This movie is one of my favorite batman movies both animated and live action. It's in the top 10. Compare to Mask of the Phantasm, this film is kind of underwhelming, but a good film nevertheless.Subzero is based on an episode of the animated series called Hearts in Ice, which centers around the villain Mr. Freeze. Like many incarnations in this universe this Mr. Freeze is my favorite incarnation of the character. In the old comics and in Batman and Robin he was a generic bad bad bent on world domination. In this movie, he is more of a tragic character. Freeze's wife has an incurable disease, and he is trying to come-up with a cure. This plot element is the driving factor for the film. The other main characters were good as well. Kevin Conroy as Batman is always great. He is my favorite Batman. Robin was okay. Barbara Gordon/Batgirl is okay as well, though she is mostly the damsel in distress in this film. Her relationship with Robin was pretty nice. The art and animation is great as usual. The score is good as well. Most of the music is from the animated series. The problem that I have with this film, and that others might have as well, is that it is basically a rehash of Hearts in Ice. If you have watched the series and seen that episode, you might be a bit disappointed. It basically has the same plot as the episode except extended. This movie is not in the same league as Mask of the Phantasm. However, it is still a fun and entertaining movie. This movie did take itself seriously and treated the viewers like adults, unlike Batman and Robin.Overall, this film is an example of what Batman and Robin should have been. I think it is criminal that this went straight to video, and Batman and Robin got into theaters.

Batman is my favorite Comic Book Hero and my favorite villain of Batman is Mr.Freeze.The reason why Batman is my favorite is because he is dark yet a hero to many and that he is always in mystery. Mr.Freeze is my favorite villain from Batman because he is just a man who just been trying to help his wife get better and yet he is turn into a monster. This is why Batman The Animated Series was just a bad to the bone series. This is one of the few movies they made for the series. In Batman and Mr.Freeze Sub-Zero Victor Freeze is trying to live in peace in the snow where he and his wife Nora could be together away from the world. Until a accident cause Nora's tube to be damage leaving her need help.Mr.Freeze then kidnaps Barbara Gordon who is really Batgirl. He needs her to save Nora's life.Batman and Robin must track down Mr.Freeze and save Barbara before it is too lateThe movie was made for home video but still a great movie. The Story is so well thought out and a lot of great twist and turns. The Voice is brilliant as always because Batman The Animated Series voice acting is awesome strong. The Animation is a great mix of CGI and hand drawn animation and they work well together. So overall Batman and Mr.Freeze Subzero is one of my favorite movies from Batman and the comic book world and should be watch by all fans.I give Batman and Mr.Freeze Subzero an 9 out of 10 great movie check it out
