Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

Um yeah, this film was basically a really, really terrible 'Speed' knock off (minus the bus, the tension, the acting skill, a decent plot, a decent DP and director) that was so bad that it actually became comedic by the end - I don't even consider it good enough to warrant a 'made for TV' status. Yep, it really is that bad.Honestly, don't waste your time - and whatever you do, please don't be fooled into wasting 96 minutes of your life, like I was, by the fact that this schlock features two known actors (Sean Patrick Flanery and Joe Pantoliano).I don't think I've seen a film this bad since I was foolish enough to watch one of the those cheap straight-to-DVD knock-offs with names like 'Transmorfers' and 'I Am Omega' - I'm actually surprised that Mark Dacasos didn't make an appearance in this film. The biggest disappointment of all for me was the fact that Joe Pantoliano got involved with this thing - does he have some massive gambling debts or something? Or maybe they forgot to give him his acting career back when they reinserted him into the Matrix?

This movie was really entertaining. The action started from the second scene and even though you weren't attached to the characters much, you could feel the pain they were going through and understand how hard the decision would be to make. The movie then showed the unhappiness and escape that the lead Sean Patrick Flanery was feeling. The acting by Sean Patrick flanery was brilliant. I am surprised he is not a Big Star, because he's amazing. This movie was real. I hate how most new action films rely so much on special effects and green screens to complete scenes that look completely fake. This movie actually has realistic special effects.Great film, rent it or buy it.

OK, the opening action sequence...His wife is taped to a pole in a basement somewhere, surrounded by dynamite. OK, got it. They can't approach her or leave the basement or risk blowing up. Got it. The switch to shut off the dynamite is a glass vial taped to her chest. I rewound to make sure it was taped, and not implanted in some way. OK, so the bad guy says to disarm the room, the vial must be broken and somehow the only way to break the vial, at least in Alexander Vesha's mind is to shoot the woman. Why can't an object be thrown at the woman? What a hero this dude could have been. plays out something like....' Now honey, I need you to sit up straight, arch your back, close your eyes and keep completely still. The little heart on your chest? I need you to point it right at me. Then take off a shoe and hurl it at her. Break the vial and all is well. Better yet, most of the cops had helmets on. Throw one of those, or tie two together with show laces, effectively creating a ball and throw that. Hollywood, or in this case, Columbus Ohio, is fresh out of creative solutions.

In all honesty, I really enjoyed this movie. It was a decent thriller. It reminded me a little of the TV show 24 for some reason, maybe the storyline. Flanery and Pantoliano do a pretty good job and really make this film. I think the movie could have been better with a different female lead, she just didn't seem to suit the part. I must say though, she is a hottie!! Most of the rest of the cast just make up the numbers. One downfall was that I didn't really like how music played through most of the movie, I don't understand why they do this.If you like movies in the same genre as speed and the like you will enjoy this one.
