Fantastic!
Very interesting film. Was caught on the premise when seeing the trailer but unsure as to what the outcome would be for the showing. As it turns out, it was a very good film.
Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.
It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.
What the wonderful film is this !!! Ubsolutely must watch !!!
This film was on my radar for a very long time. Saw The Invisible Guest (another awesome suspense thriller) directed by the same guy before this film. The director managed to make this film very interesting to watch n the script played a very important role. A very intriguing plotline and a jaw- dropping twist at the end will satisfy Hitchcock fans. Hitchcock wud hav been really proud. I avoided reading too much about this film n i avoided the trailer too n i advise the same to all. The plot in short without any spoilers: A chemist's very rich n older wife dies due to heart attack. The chemist has knowledge about some cardio toxin which can cause heart attack after ingestion without leaving any trace. The chemist is also having an extramarital affair with a young student. Sounds like an open n shut case uh. Wait till u watch this awesome suspense film.
Arguably one the best movies of this genre I've seen lately. European films are usually love them or hate them, this one is definitely one in the first category. The scenario is full of tension, loads of details that bind the story together and the actors did a really really great job. The twist at the end is of course unpredictable and "delicious". A good movie!
The good news : there are enough twists and turns in this thriller to give a formula one driver a headache. The bad news : there are enough twists and turns in this thriller to give a formula one driver a headache. And the result, sadly, is too contrived, busy and artificial to be truly suspenseful. At least a number of performances defy logic. If I were a young and callous opportunist who had murdered my spouse, and if I were being interviewed by the police, I'd try to fake at least a semblance of grief : I'd cry into an handkerchief, sob, rant, tell rambling stories about that one time my own sweet darling gave me a cocker spaniel pup for my birthday, and so on. Here we've got a murderer who is waving a giant flag saying "The old witch has croaked and boy, I couldn't care less". It's a novel approach, though perhaps not what one would expect from a man who is supposed to be wily and clever. There are also a number of missed opportunities. A morgue, a disappearing corpse, a morgue guard fleeing in blind terror, the dead changing place or identity, adulterous lovers planning a murder, various objects showing up from nowhere - think of the kind of bloodcurdling thriller and/or chilling horror story a reasonably competent director could make of these elements. But in this movie the various things going bump in the night couldn't scare any well-adapted six-years old.Still, I've got to say that I was glad to watch a Spanish film. It made a nice change to the usual Anglo-Saxon fare and provided some nicely exotic or unusual accents. Besides, the idea of a corpse suddenly disappearing from a well-regulated morgue is quite intriguing.
