The Worst Film Ever
Load of rubbish!!
This is a small, humorous movie in some ways, but it has a huge heart. What a nice experience.
Apparently the guy who made this movie was heavily influenced by "The Young Ones" and David Lynch. This was neither as funny as the former and much less weird than the latter. Exactly what it was trying to achieve I am unsure, but it did leave me feeling a little queasy, if that was the director's mission. I was left thinking how, as a horror, gross-out movie or comedy, it really failed to be any of those things. It's like it was trying too hard to shock, yet completely forgot to entertain. A Troma rip- off that fails to deliver.
To all the people who gave this movie a poor review saying the joke is suppose to be that it's terrible or that people only like movies like this to belong1. I don't know anyone apart from myself who has seen the movie and yet I love it, I am in not online group and have no online friends or community that know about, talk about or like this film and yet I love it, so there goes that theory2. The type of humour in the film is called non-sequitur if Jim Hosking the creator (who is British) was inspired by anyone in regards to the type of humour it has to have been, Reeves and Mortimer, the comedy itches a certain scratch, it's not scratch everyone has, but for some people it's there, if you don't have it, that's fine, the films not for youIf you want to see something that this film I am sure owes a debt to, watch Catterick (2004) for a showcasing of Vic and Bob's non-sequitur absurdist style, that this falls into the same school as, this is a school of british comedy that started with Spike Milligan and the Goon show and was carried on by Python and Rik Mayall.
Absolutely loved this movie. At the time of watching I hadn't heard much about it except it was highly rated by empire magazine. So when I watched it late at night in the dark thinking I was about to see a horror/slasher movie, I was a bit taken back when I realised it was a comedy I was watching!, And maybe it was because I was expecting a completely different type of movie but I was taken by surprise how funny it was. Now I completely understand why people don't like it, in fact I've recommended it to so many people some of which blatantly refuse to watch it and others who have, and of those who have I don't know any who did like it! It certainly is not for everyone, but for those who enjoy there humour off the wall and lines you'll be able to quote for years to come, give it a chance. And by the way after RE checking empire magazine, the movie won empires comedy of the year!!!!
It had to wait 15-20 years for those who want to watch such a thing. Yeah but now is the time! Everything is absurd and gimcrack: 1 - Michael Jackson dancing under the spot. That's miraculous... 2 - Red-tipped horse penis is everywhere. Too stinky 3 - Same plans of plenty at car washing. Jim Hosking shall not turn his face another way or we don't want to wait a decade. Real OVERDOSE...
