I like movies that are aware of what they are selling... without [any] greater aspirations than to make people laugh and that's it.

It's the kind of movie you'll want to see a second time with someone who hasn't seen it yet, to remember what it was like to watch it for the first time.

Theatre Bizarre reminds me of the Grand Guignol, a type of French theatre popular in the 19th and early 20th centuries, which presented short plays of the macabre, the gruesome, and the cruel. The stories presented here are certainly that, including the framework that brings them all together. These are not great works of literature or of cinema, but they are entertaining. They are certainly entertaining for fans of the cruel, gruesome, and gory. The one about the mother telling her daughter about death is out of place here, not being cruel, gruesome, or gory. I guess it has some deeper meaning connecting all the other stories together, but it is lost on me, because the segment is so boring that I lost interest in it. Overall though, it's worth watching late at night with a few friends.

It's pretty hard for a movie anthology with six different segments to strike out six times in a row, but this mess managed to fail on every occasion. Sure, there are terrible movies that are just an excuse for sex and/or gore, but at least some of those are either clever or have some actual eroticism in them. This waste of time was just repulsive from the word go, and had not one coherent storyline in any of the six miserable stories. I'm a big horror fan, and even I was disgusted by this pitiful attempt at horror storytelling. I couldn't wait for this over-produced mess to end. It's very difficult to come up with six stories that had no point to them. The idiots that directed and wrote this garbage should be proud of the fact that they could accomplish such a difficult feat.

This movie sat in our cabinet for about 6 months. Tonight, we decided to watch it..my husband, 20 year old son, and I.I swear, there was NOTHING on TV worth watching, so we decided to finally take it out, and give it a try.We watched the entire movie, beginning to end. Nobody in the room said anything. I started thinking about how we COULD have been watching old reruns of Benson, instead. Horror movies are one of my favorite genres...so it's not like I didn't 'get it'.This movie will follow you around for the rest of your life like a very bad smell.When it popped out of the DVD player, my husband removed it from the tray, we all looked at each other, and agreed...we threw it in the garbage.But it's still in the house, because there's no garbage pick-up tomorrow. :( That's the REAL horror.

First of all i am gonna say that this movie was so depressing and sick i almost couldn't finish it..okay they wanted to make a horror anthology..i get it..so why are they making these random awful stories that even myself could have made them much more interesting and scarier..there is one story that has nothing to do with the rest of them,it's a story with a little girl.The awful nightmarish last story was not only dreadful but bloody disgusting too..i though 'oh well i found what to watch when i wanna start a diet'..Honestly one of the worst movies ever!!!If you wanna see horror stories that are worth it check out Campfire Tales..now that was interesting!!!
