A man with a thirst for revenge builds a full body armor from Kevlar and goes on a killing spree. Rampage is a flick that pushes Boll's own stupidity but also his pack of untalented mess of scripts plus his own political agenda too. I didn't like the main character both in terms of perfomance but also as a character in general cause he was just mad at the world and wanted to kill innocent people like please i've seen way better than this abomination of a movie that Uwe Boll directed. If you wanna see something better? Go and watch the sea it's beautiful. (0/10)

Okay, first of all, I had to write this review because I came to IMDb expecting to see a beautiful pile of hatred towards this film. I have no earthly idea how most of the reviews of this movie are positive, so let's just get all this misinformation cleared up:This film is AWFUL. It's DIABOLICALLY BAD. It is a BIG SH*TTY STINKING PILE OF DOG SH*T. This movie is the biggest middle finger to anyone who ever thought of cinema as a form of artistic expression. As someone who likes good movies and hopefully will get to write movies someday, I can honestly say that this is one of the most offensive things I've ever seen.I'm not gonna be talking about this film's completely backwards 'moral', which is basically misunderstanding the phrase 'survival of the fittest' and contorting it to mean 'kill everybody because they're all part of THE SYSTEM and they don't follow MY BELIEFS'. I just want to talk about this film on a technical level. Now, I sort of see what it's trying to go for. It's sort of the protagonist/antagonist setup that a lot of crime movies have, where the main character would normally be the bad guy. The one thing this movie doesn't understand, however, is that if you want the audience to feel anything for your main character, you have to make them have ANY kind of redeeming qualities, or be justified in the horrible things they do. This movie's main character (even before he goes on a killing spree for no real reason) is a COMPLETE ASSHOLE to EVERYONE. And that wouldn't be such a bad thing if it was a Walter White scenario, but this movie is clearly acting like you should be rooting for this guy. Why should i put myself into the shoes of this guy when i actively want to see him dead? And even without the horrible characters and the broken morality, this would still be a complete mess. The cinematography is dreadful, just more shaky cam sh*t to the point where the screen is just a blur of color and you can't even see the action, The colors and sound are incredibly dull, and APPARENTLY according to the trivia section, this whole movie was improvised. And it REEEEAAALLY shows. The dialogue and acting are horrendous and the scenes make no sense because the whole thing was done on the spot without any direction. Please, don't see this movie. Not just for your safety, but for the safety of World Famous Manchild Uwe Boll, one of the worst directors in human history.

So a guy goes on a rampage and shoots everyone in sight. That part was kinda fun. But why did he do it? The first 20 minutes should give you an insight into the psyche of this maniac...oh, wait it's an Uwe Boll film, so the first 20 minutes the guy goes to fast food restaurants and nags about the cream on his café laté in the local coffee bar and does nothing else of interest. The camera work consists of the most shaky/wobbly hand-held shots I've seen since the Blair Witch project (that was actually a lot better). The camera operator must have come drunk to work each day is my guess. If there was music I did not notice or remember it. The acting is not good. The was actually no script but just a 10 page outline and the rest was improvised on set. And you can tell, coz the actors are blabbering over each others lines which Uwe must have thought made it more natural but it just becomes chaotic and irritating. The lead actor is a (small) dork who has a very stupid looking face (it's true, not kidding). The editing is not great (it uses lots of jump cuts but that's good, it keeps the film short) but the movie is fairly linear so it's hard to mess that up right. All in all not a terrible movie but it could have been much better with a capable director, decent actors and a well fleshed out script. Better next time Uwe!

My quick rating - 6,3/10. Basically the same movie as the sequel (which I accidentally watched first).Basically a young adult goes against the system and goes on a killing spree to try and teach the world a lesson. There is plenty of propaganda in this movie, but it isn't that far off, just a tad bit too extreme. Still entertaining, albeit violent and mean spirited. Extra couple tenths of a point for an interesting end(easy to guess) and a slight bit better job acting. Oh, and always nice to see max headroom" in a movie LOLHopefully Uwe Boll can continue the upward mobility in movie making, since his last 3 that I have seen have been pretty good, and that is hard to say with a straight face after the crap he has made in the past, but still true.
