I'm a Persian/Iranian and I think the movie 300 was extremely racist. I'm not a historian and I'm not sure if the story behind the movie was true or not but the way it presented ancient Persia and Persians was offensive and not true. I think this movie is so hilarious and funny. I recommend this to every Iranian who was upset about the actual movie just like me. To know that not all Americans think about other countries like that. Personally this is not the type of cinema that I'm interested; but if one of the purposes of cinema is to tell people not to take life so serious, this movie done its job well.

This is a comedy and that's one thing most negative reviewers didn't realize when they went to watch it. I get it, the sparta and all that and perhaps it drew a lot of crazy folks who thought they will see a lot of actions and were surprised to end up at a comedy.As a comedy, IT IS funny. They took the 300 movie with a couple of more and made a sketch from it. I was surprised to find such bad reviews and when I watched it for the first time back in 2008 it had a score of 6.5. Then some kind of fake reviews started which brought it down. Once the movie is down, there are a lot of people who intentionally flag it down to see "how long can it get", which is unfortunate! Those who want to have a laugh will find this movie entertaining. Ignore the bad ratings!

This review does not contain spoilers because after just three minutes into the movie I already gave up. The standard was so extremely low that I could not even bear to continue watching. I am sorry I lost just the three minutes of my life! That should be all you need to know about the movie but since I need 10 lines of text for the review I will continue to tell you to NOT DO THIS TO YOURSELF. Extremely flat jokes.Visually not tasteful. I hated everything I saw in this three minutes.Go to the dentist and have a root treatment for more fun. DO NOT WATCH THE MOVIE AND STAY AWAY!

I think most of the reviews of this film are WAY harsh. It's a farce, for chrissakes! A broad, bawdy romp that riffs on every scene in "The 300," from which it was derived. Incidentally, not to see the original "300" would make watching this film a colossal waste of your time, for this same reason. I thought the star of the film who portrayed Leonitus, Sean MaGuire, was a spot-on, dead ringer for the original, and funny as hell. One the negative side, some of the gags in this movie tended to go on a little too long to sustain the laugh, but many of the scenes in this movie I thought were hilarious, just dying to be spoofed. Again, this isn't Ben Hur, nor was it meant to be. Lighten up folks, and enjoy.
