You won't be disappointed!
everything you have heard about this movie is true.
It’s not bad or unwatchable but despite the amplitude of the spectacle, the end result is underwhelming.
what a terribly boring film. I'm sorry but this is absolutely not deserving of best picture and will be forgotten quickly. Entertaining and engaging cinema? No. Nothing performances with flat faces and mistaking silence for subtlety.
Very good movie, acting, story& revenge. It makes me feel like i'm on her situation, I like it so much, actually i felt it. The end is kinda disappointed for killing her self too, instead of just fell the relief of kowing they're have what they deserve.
Acting stood out in this movie: very believable. However after part 1, perpetrators have been caught and the trial starts, the pace slows quite a bit. From time to time it is boring or standing out. The revenge, part 3, started out promising but was not exiting. All in all, my expectation was different (higher) after reading the summary of the movie.
A woman in Germany with a Muslim Turkish husband suffers the loss of both in a bombing. A trial is the main component of the story and it, and Diane Kruger shines in the lead role as Katya. The tension is at a high level and I won't give away too much of what happens next. The film held my attention for the entire one hour and forty six minute running time. In The Fade is one of the best foreign films of the year.
5/1/18. Fortunately the movie was dubbed, otherwise it would be difficult to watch with subtitles. Kruger did a good job as a woman bent on revenge. However, her emotional issues were just too much to handle, which explains the ending.
