In truth, there is barely enough story here to make a film.

it is finally so absorbing because it plays like a lyrical road odyssey that’s also a detective story.

The film creates a perfect balance between action and depth of basic needs, in the midst of an infertile atmosphere.

I'm a Potterhead myself, one of those who wrote in newsgroups (when newsgrups did still exist) trying to figure out with other fans what the next book could be (in the era of BOOKS, not movies yet). Said that, I've also seen the movies. All of them. A comparison with this one would be highly unfair, as the "official" movies are professional products. This one should be, in my humble opinion, seen like a fan story. But despite its short lenght (less than an hour) and the poorness of the sets (all the movie is filmed inside), I saw this Voldemort: Origins of the Heir with pleasure. I gave 8 to this movie. Yes, actors are dubbed but revoicers are English speakers (their names can be read in credits) and no one would have liked someone talking English with Italian accent. So this is a plus, not a con. Yes, there are characters not canonic, but this is for the sake of the plot. Costumes are great. Lights are good. Directing might not be so great, but good enough. To sum it up, my opinion is highly positive.

Inaccurate doesn't begin to explain the atrocity that this movie represents. I don't know who made it, but it was definitely not made by someone who have actually read the books, let alone can that person be called a fan. This has nothing to do with Harry Potter universe. The beginning with the girl zooming back and forth like Flash and playing wizard Counter Strike made watching it worse than being under a Cruciatus Curse. I couldn't even bear to watch until the end. Voldemort never had friends, not to mention love interest. The whole point of Harry's power over him is kind of the fact that Voldemort underestimated the power of love and never cared about anybody but himself. Moreover no one, or better said rarely people conected Voldemort with Tom Riddle, the modest ambitious student that he was considered back in school days. The only person that really did conect the dots back then was Dumbledore. Other fact is that he is this highly intelligent manipulative guy that knows how to play the right strings, and was adored by all professors except Dumbledore, not an angry teenager that snaps at people and reveals them his big plans for the future. No one except his chosen circle of what are after going to be Death Eaters had known that he is obsessed with pure blood. Also, why on earth would Russians have his diary? I didn't really expect this to be on point with all the details but this is so off tracks that not even a broom compass could fix it.

I can't find anything good to say about this... I would have stopped watching it at the beginning, but I did because I am fan.Storyline was awful, there was nothing newly created in the story, the shots were really bad, visual effects were mostly bad, acting was beyond horrible.I wish it was at least a good story so that I would support this movie....

Im putting this into a "Fan Film" genre, just to have my rating make sense. If this was done by professionals, 2/10. Horrible Storyline, which could be done better even with an extremely low budget. Since it is NOT, easily 8/10. The Actor of Tom was great tho, I could see him play in a Professional made Movie for sure.
