Better Late Then Never

It's funny watching the elements come together in this complicated scam. On one hand, the set-up isn't quite as complex as it seems, but there's an easy sense of fun in every exchange.

This is a must-see and one of the best documentaries - and films - of this year.

I have never been this angry at a movie!! It was funny at first with the clumsy dialogue and first grade thanksgiving pageant acting but now I'm just mad I've pissed away and hour and a half on this garbage. I would prefer Plan 9 From Outer Space-at least some real effort was made there.

To start, I'm not an educated film critic. I watch movies for entertainment value, mostly. I watched The Gracefield Incident to be entertained and I was.When others say this is the worst movie/acting/soundtrack ever, I don't think they've seen: All Hallows Eve: October 30th, The Yearly Harvest, Chameleon Shadow, 666: The Beast, or Creeper, just to name a few. Watch those and The Gracefield Incident will move to a 10 star film.

The movie's poster/cover was what initially lured me in, because it was definitely an interesting design. And I do enjoy horror movies quite a lot, so it took very little convincing to get me to sit down to watch "The Gracefield Incident".I must admit that the storyline told in "The Gracefield Incident" was rather intense. So writer Mathieu Ratthe really managed to put together something quite interesting. And I will say that as a director then Mathieu Ratthe was also quite adept at keeping the audience in the dark as to what was actually going on throughout the course of the movie.The creature design was rather impressive and believable, which really worked in favor of the movie. Because having a movie as intense and suspenseful as "The Gracefield Incident" turned out to be, then having less than adequate creatures would be a fatal flaw once unleashed on the screen.The acting in the movie was quite good, and the actors and actresses had a lot of weight riding on their shoulders, as the cast ensemble was rather small. So everyone had to perform quite well to carry the movie, and luckily they did.One thing that stuck out like a sore thumb and a thing that I definitely didn't like, was the found footage approach that director and writer Mathieu Ratthe opted to go for with this movie. It was a real shame, because the shaky camera that is all over the place is so annoying and it takes away so much from the enjoyment of the movie for me."The Gracefield Incident" turned out to be a rather entertaining movie, but the found footage and shaky camera destroyed it for me. "The Gracefield Incident" could have been so much more if director and writer Mathieu Ratthe had opted to go for a regular movie format.

I watched this with little to no expectations and the early parts played out in a pretty predictable and cliché cabin in the woods kinda story, but it surprised me towards the end. It's nice. I don't think these reviews and ratings are fair. I've seen so many horrible found footage horror and sci-fi movies but this one's good.
