Wow! What a bizarre film! Unfortunately the few funny moments there were were quite overshadowed by it's completely weird and random vibe throughout.

Fun premise, good actors, bad writing. This film seemed to have potential at the beginning but it quickly devolves into a trite action film. Ultimately it's very boring.

It’s fine. It's literally the definition of a fine movie. You’ve seen it before, you know every beat and outcome before the characters even do. Only question is how much escapism you’re looking for.

First Kill appears to be a straight to video drama thriller starring Hayden Christensen and Bruce Willis. The film isn't quite good as it is quite bland, with typical acting and nothing in which truly stands out. Some thrills here and there but overall nothing in which hwe have not seen before. A lot of camera zooming in with its close ups which was noticeable. The plot is okay but things become unrealistic. First off, Hayden and his son witness a near murder, then decide to bring in the victim into their home o take care of him and help his wife to heal him, and once it occurs, the victim suddenly becomes rogue and targets them, eventually hostage the son.This is another film where Bruce Willis is quite sleep walking through the film which was also noticeable, as his acting wasn't much up to par. The trailer originally saw when this film came out made it quite intriguing but of course trailers tend to do that. Overall, First Kill is only a quite decent thriller but doesn't offer anything new. As it shows how far both star actors Hayden Christensen and Bruce Willis have fallen off.

The movie fails on almost all aspects. It's borderline bad acting. Maybe because the script and directing is abysmal. I saw the entire movie(on Netflix), but had to skip forward a few times, especially, towards the end of it, because it just became annoying and goes off track, losing pace so many times. Oh, and the close-ups and the terrible "humor" and music ...It's really just a bad movie. I'm very disappointed.To conclude: It gets 2 stars, not 1, only for portraying Bruce Willis and Hayden Christensen.Plot: (not kidding) Bad guy, who isn't really a THE bad guy, kidnaps son, who's on a hunting trip with his father. While father does errands to return heist money, bad guy, Levi, plays video games with bullied son and tells him how to stand up for himself. Turns out he stole the money to pay for his girlfriend's mother's cancer treatment. Father gets cought by police chief, returning the money. They go together to the woods to do the exhange. The city cops are really the bad guys, kidnaps mother to use as hostage. They shoot at some trees in the woods. Levi gets hit. Police chief uses mother as human shield and tells father that he pushed his father off a cliff, Police chief gets distracted by, now hero, Levi, and walks into fathers rifle scope and gets shot in the head. Oh, and Levi's girlfriend is shot dead, Levi is dead and girlfriend's mother dies. Money is returned to the bank and family drives home.

Very bad movie, Willis seems bored and also not very well ? I was under the impression an ambulance was waiting for him outside, to go back to hospital between the takes... just an impression. He seems to struggle even when he is sitting drinking a coffee, mumbles his lines and look at the clock. Others actors are also struggling to support Willis weak acting, to give it some credit. It's the first Willis film I didn't watch completeley, totallly indifferent after 5 min. I give it 1 point, because I can't go lower

The ONLY redeeming thing about this movie was, that I didn't pay to see it. I got it from the library. But, it is 2 hours I will never get back. Willis is horrible in this. To be fair though, his lines are meager and of few syllables. The casting of this film is abysmal. However, what's worse, is the cinematography: the whole jiggle the camera and shoot only close-ups style is so yesterday. It's nothing but a distraction. The only bigger distraction might be the so-called "music". It's that new-age mood garbage and it plays throughout the entire film like tinnitus. I will echo the sentiments of other posters: this is THE worst film of the last 10 years, by far ! It should be seriously considered for MSTK3 fodder in the future.
