Another nice movie from the director of the blockbuster THUPAKKI.The movie ensembles the real life struggle of the farmers who experiencing the water scarcity.Vijay's acting skills are charismatic and he have done best on both of the dual roles.Again director Handled the social problem in an correct manner.Overall the movie is good. Background score is an masterpiece of aniruth ravichander.Character selection for the movie is good.Samantha's performance should be appreciated all the songs are good the negative thing in the movie is dulling comedies by karunagaran.We have to majorly thank the elder ones who acted in the movies because all of them done a great performance.According to the sources the revenue of the movie is profit and also ANOTHER 100CR collection record for VIJAY

Kaththi movie has many flaws. 1st of all, how come a cola company wait until Vijay find's water underground and kills the land owners/farmers the same night? they could have send in even 100 engineers to find water and done the same killings before itself. Dual roles for Vijay but not even a single difference in appearance. In fight scenes doesn't any goons have a mobile phone light?. TV & Print are media shown in such bad light. Sad that only if some established hero's do movies like this, at least his fans talk about farmers plight (film's theme) otherwise the film itself would have gone unnoticed. So i call it a MONNA KATHTHI.

KATHTHI : Another Brilliance from the director A.R Murugadoss. Director's touch with social message with electrifying Mass elements made Kaththi more engaging with all kind of audiences. He has the ability to make people sit all over the film without moving aside and he made the screenplay perfect with entertainment factors.Coming to Vijay this is one of his best in recent years, and will remain one of his best all his career too. Performance wise he has emerged to a next level and proved himself he is the next leading SUPERSTAR of south. He has given all his performance for both Jeevanandham and Kathiresan in his own style.The Plot : The major plot of the film is about Farmers Plight in our nation and it was shown in a right manner with some realistic performances and it adds color to the story very well. As jeevanandham Vijay excels in Emotional scenes and as Kathiresan he is asusual with his own comic and stylish Avatar. Vijay is one of the Major plus for the movie and he travelled all over with ease and made it perfect treat to watch.Anirudh's Musical : The another major plus for movie is Music from young talent Anirudh. He is special at background scores and made a Punch with Kaththi and till date its one of his best. Theme music for both Hero and Villain has become more popular with all audiences and he has reached next level in in career after Kaththi.Apart from Vijay the main person was Neil Nitin Mukesh as antagonist, he is apt for his role and made his own voice for this film and his effort paid him. He has done his best for his neaty role. Samantha joins with Vijay for the first and the chemistry between them has worked out well. Samantha looks cute and still she doesn't have more scenes to perform and we expect more from her in future and we expecting director's to use the natural performer like Samantha must be given more opportunities.Apart from them Sathish also done his part well and did a commandable job in comedy as well as in some serious portions. The Village old peoples who have acted needs to be appreciated and they have truly done their part so easy and neatly for the stories plot. Director should be appreciated to select the real village farmers to play important roles in the film.Verdict : A Must watch film for all. And for Vijay and A.R Murugadoss this is another Milestone after Thuppakki.My Ratings : 9 / 10

The film starts with the slow paced story line which might make the audience to feel as if that this is going to be usual Vijay's commercial flick. Later after 15-20 minutes of running the film actually starts and take us into the plot. Being very much fond of farming, I always aim to become a farmer. As this plot is about the issues faced by farmers in real time, the movie has clearly explained the current situation of corporate world and the farmers. The scene where few farmers die to create hype in the media so as to help Jeevanantham(Vijay) was well planned and shot thereby explaining the real time happenings in the Media world. Recommend everyone to watch this film as this has a strong social message though it has some slow pace portions and few misplaced songs within it.
