Generation of Bison
The film "Generation of Bison" is a documentary drama, somewhat similar in plot to the film "Nine Days of One Year" by M. Romm, probably the most famous feature film about Soviet atomic scientists. There are also 9 stories in it, each corresponding to the stage of preparation and construction of the First nuclear power plant, the announcer is just as restrained and laconic, the plot is just as dramatic. At the same time, each story from the film "Generation of Bison" is a short story about the peculiarities of the life of young scientists, their attitude to each other, their interests and feelings. This is told by the participants of the events themselves – living witnesses of the era.

In the autumn of 1941, an SS training camp appeared in the small Polish town of Travniki, organized on the personal initiative of Heinrich Himmler. The cadets of this camp were supposed to be, according to the Reichsfuhrer's idea, Soviet prisoners of war. In the first months after the German attack on the Soviet Union, there were millions of them, exhausted, psychologically crushed, dying of hunger.

Theater Behind Barbed Wire

Nurken with his crew on a plane engulfed in flames crashed into the thick of enemy tanks. Dozens of fascist soldiers and officers went into oblivion with him. A terrible explosion shook everything around. So Nurken and his friend Alexander Komissarov went into immortality. This is how the main characters of this, members of the Kazakhstani group Ninety One, look like. Many will not find anything unusual in the image of the musicians, however, the group’s popularity among Kazakh-speaking teenagers caused a great indignation of part of society, which led to street protests, disruptions of concerts and pressure from the authorities. The appearance of Ninety One revealed a whole layer of social and cultural conflicts within Kazakhstani society - between urban and rural culture, between traditionalism and globalization, between the vertical of power and personal freedom.

Almost all young people in Vaininiore are into sports. Some in the dugout, others in football, volleyball, but most are in boxing. Thai boxing. Behind the Eastern Bridge fire station in Papeete, the Vaininiore district has the reputation of being a red-light district. This is where a hard core of around twenty fighters trains in the evening, but there are new ones arriving all the time... Not all of them last long... Team Arupa is Hentz Tinomoe. He is a good coach, patient, a little tough when it comes to training... There is a good atmosphere, good understanding, a good spirit of cohesion at Vaininiore, VNR for the young people... A united team. In this film, Team Arupa VNR goes down to the Vairao peninsula for Team Black Devil.

They spend their days playing football on the field, and at five o'clock every evening they have training with Hentz Tinomoe, the neighborhood colossus, three times Polynesian Thai boxing champion in the super-heavyweight category. His club, Team Arupa, is one of those fairly tight sub-groups: to be admitted you must first run to the dike, then put on gloves and exchange blows. Unknown to the general public, they chose pragmatism.
