Caravan
The four Afghan refugees who have applied for asylum in Austria strike up the song, “The caravan moves on” again and again. Encouraged by the journalist Lucy Ashton to record their lives on their smartphone cameras as a video diary, the friends film their precarious daily routine between visits to authorities, small jobs, and changing accommodations. Yet even when hope is lost, one certainty remains: the power of friendship.

Man of Aral
As one of the most striking examples of human-caused climate catastrophe, the Sea of Aral is gradually running dry. Various hand-processing techniques overlay a time-lapse of this slow demise as the erosion and cracking of the emulsion mirrors that of the landscape. The soundtrack is inspired by the original score composed by John D. H. Greenwood for Man of Aran (Robert J. Flaherty, 1934).

The film Hitbasrut, based on Zack's own experiences as a mother, depicts a magical-poetic ritual in the chain of intergenerational transmission between daughters and mothers - real and spiritual. Zack attempts to decode the alchemy of remembering and forgetting and to provide an answer to our fear of being forgotten and of our inevitable death.

Bull Run
Ana is a filmmaker who gets into crypto trading during the pandemic. Her husband and her father wants her to go to therapy, and Ana decides, as a repair exercise (in desperation), to make a documentary about the bitcoin fever with a producer (more fundamentalist than Michael Saylor), a technical team of new speculators (three to the room) and an economist father (a boomer) who wants to avoid at all costs that his daughter is ruined in a market he does not understand. For him, crypto are the tulip or stamp bubble of the 21st century: a lifelong scam. Ana's story will serve as a trojan horse to delve into the crypto ecosystem through expert testimonials.
