Absolutely Fantastic
The performances transcend the film's tropes, grounding it in characters that feel more complete than this subgenre often produces.
There's no way I can possibly love it entirely but I just think its ridiculously bad, but enjoyable at the same time.
One of the worst ways to make a cult movie is to set out to make a cult movie.
Currently "Animusic 2" has a higher rating on IMDb, but I really think the first album was much better. Sure, with "Animusic 2" you have slightly better graphics as computer technology is four years newer. However, the most important things about the DVDs are the music and originality--and in both areas the first album edges out the second. Now I am NOT saying the second one is bad--it isn't. It's just that after buying both and viewing them repeatedly, I found myself going back more and more to the first because of the great songs and graphics--particularly the one with the pipes as well as the bouncing balls. With "Animusic 2", the only one that stands out in my mind as the equal to these two is the robots--which are really exciting to watch. My advice is get both DVDs, but if you only get one, start with the first.
