When Star Wars: Episode VII - The Force Awakens opened in cinemas in December 2015, I thought that this was beginning of another great trilogy set of movies.JJ Abrams has never failed to deliver a brilliant movie, look at his movie CV which started off with Mission: Impossible III, Star Trek, Super 8 and Star Trek: Into Darkness, it was only logical (pardon the pun) that a director like JJ should direct The Force Awakens and he didn't fail at all, I loved The Force Awakens but I don't think Han should have been killed off as it would have been great to see Luke, Han and Leia all on the same screen.The new characters pretty much held their own as well and I was impressed with Rey, Cameron Poe and Finn and overall, I definitely think that The Force Awakens deserve it's nine star rating that I have given it.I just wish I could have had nicer things to say about the Last Jedi which slipped down in the ratings and I berated Rian Johnson for his terrible script and direction...Lucasfilm definitely need to do more checking on future film directors and not let someone who has only directed a student movie and a feature film movie (Looper - 2012) come in and almost totally destroy the Star Wars franchise.I just that JJ can work his magic again and save Episode IX, I have heard that time travel is one of the possible plotlines where the Millenium Falcon goes back in time but we will all have to wait and see what happens when Episode IX arrives at the cinemas in December 2019.

This movie is so popular that Harrison Ford came back with Chewbacca. And other characters are C3P0, Leia, and R2D2. In the end, I was happy that Luke Skywalker is alive, but most people are not interested in that, they all love Han Solo. That was crazy that Kylo Ren is Han and Leia's son. I saw a lot of good action and comedy in this movie. Rey is the new Jedi recruit, Finn is the funniest who left the First Order and join the Resistance, and Poe is a really a professional pilot. I'm happy that Star Wars has picked the right actors and actresses.

I am so glad I borrowed this DVD from the library for free and didn't pay to watch it at the cinema or pay for a disc. i would have been so angry at myself for wasting money. Yet, I wasted my time.Firstly, the number of people who paid and paid and paid just to see a movie with 'Star' in the title is shocking. This film is so boring and unhip. The acting is atrocious. The actors and actresses have a sheepish look on their faces that says 'I will try to look serious, but deep inside I know I am not good and neither is this film.' Moreover, this film has too many one liners. What is with all the jokes that fall so flat?Secondly, Star Wars ended Episode VI with a victory for the good guys. How is it that some hitherto unknown new empire has all the power and equipment again? Er, is this the galaxy's biggest continuity gap? thirdly, there is a saying that you cannot con all the people all the time. It seems the saying is wrong. Next year (or is this year?) they will send another Star Wars to the cinema, which will be as uncool as this and reanimate the old actors with digitization and everyone will rush to see it.No wonder people are getting fatter and fatter yet the drive-through line at McDonalds is as long as ever.

Whoever came up with this is such a genius. I wonder which genius came up with this. I mean just the name Star Wars is so cult. She must be a beacon of humanity and hope. I heard a rumor that she was an assistance (more like guide and masseuse) to Steven Spielberg who did a favor to him and gave the project to Spielberg's groupie and acolyte JJ Abrams. What a genius connection.This woman (lady!) also came up with concepts like the force, yoda, jedi, light sabers and orphan destitute girls who can fly spaceships with such a skill.Wow who is this brilliant artiste??
