Neil, Will and Simon receive an invite from Jay to join him in Australia whilst on his gap year, who promises them it’s ”the sex capital of the world”. With their lives now rather dull compared to their hedonistic school days and legendary lads holiday, it’s an offer they can’t refuse. Once again, they put growing up temporarily on-hold, and embark on a backpacking holiday of a lifetime in an awful car, inspired by Peter Andre’s ‘Mysterious Girl’. Will soon finds himself battling with the lads to do something cultural, whilst they focus their attention on drinking, girls, and annoying fellow travelers.

The best films of this genre always show a path and provide a takeaway for being a better person.
The storyline feels a little thin and moth-eaten in parts but this sequel is plenty of fun.
A great movie, one of the best of this year. There was a bit of confusion at one point in the plot, but nothing serious.
The first must-see film of the year.
The biggest issue is just the narrative! Example, Will bumps into a girl by accident within a few hours of travelling round the world and it was s girl he went to school with?! Jays dads brother is Australian?!? Jay doesn't seem surprised to see his 3 mates from the otherside of the world?! Has the feel of a first draftDialogue is quite funny, the only positive
Taking a break from school and traveling relinquished a nerdy college trio from social ostracism! The frugal reprieve down-under intertwined adventure and romance with satire and physical even grotesque comedy. Two cultures melded in the exotic subtropic paradise of Australia. The Aussie natives toyed with the naive American nerds' puerile ambitions. Persistence paid off as the sparks began to fly but not without comedic trials and tribulations. Outlandish failures hampered the wooing wanderers along their journey, yet these undaunted travelers persevered in discovering friendship. There was ample situational irony for prognostic movie buffs yet sufficiently familiar characters for everyday audiences.
The Inbetweeners 2 is a decent movie with a mediocre storyline, albeit a terrific comedic cast. It's certainly very funny and it's always a treat to see these four together again, as with any Inbetweeners episode or film, there are plenty of moments that will have you in absolute stitches, particularly any cringe worthy parts from Will. The sequel certainly dosen't live up to its predecessor, the end of the first Inbetweeners movie see's the four main characters grow and truly become men, but this film contradicts any of that established character arch and brings them back the same position they were in the television series, it simply felt like a unnecessary sequel that ruins the pitch perfect finale of the first one. A lot of the humour is immature and certainly not the clever, well written comedy that I've come to expect from the Inbetweeners, it's much less British, with jokes about child abuse, indigestion and self harm, it's much more tasteless than the series or the first film ever was. It's a disappointment, simple as that, if you are an Inbetweeners fans then you'll watch it, you will laugh a load, but you'll be left feeling unfulfilled, The Inbetweeners 2 has plenty of good moments, but it's a mediocre adventure, with little heart or plot, for this likable foursome. While on a break from college, the gang head to Australia to visit Jay after hearing about his insane new lifestyle. Best Performance: Simon Bird
Actually in Germany they still used the title they gave the first Inbetweeners movie, which was Sex on the beach. Now they added "Down under" which stands clearly for Australia ... well and probably something else, but I don't have to point that joke out for you I reckon. Apart from weird German titles, this has a few things that work better than in the first movie, but the first had a different kind of charm.Well at least for someone like me, who hadn't seen the TV show (and still hasn't). The four boys are at it again, though one of them seems to have hit the mother-load over in Australia. Which is the starting point of the new adventure and the reason they all find themselves in Australia. Predictable? Yes. Still funny? Also yes
