Very disappointing...

Just what I expected

Absolutely Fantastic

Yo, there's no way for me to review this film without saying, take your *insert ethnicity + "ass" here* to see this film,like now. You have to see it in order to know what you're really messing with.

Play along with the jokes, this movie has heart - the nostalgia for the past is authentic and real, and the ending, amazingly has a much deeper meaning, with statements made by both main characters intended for the living, and for life - and love - you give your best to someone , and time moves on, youth is fleeting, and lacks meaning, the only real meaning is way beyond skin deep. . I doubt many picked out the far deeper message, it was truly a shock in a comedy, but is a great tribute to the best in these actors, who span generations, and ages, reflectively, to the movie's theme. . very rare indeed. highly recommended.

As I begin myself by saying that I have finished watching this movie on 12/22/2015 on Tuesday at around 11:50 pm. As I have not watched more than 5 or 6 vampire related movies so far but Let me tell you that this movie is little bit or quite different than What I have seen before in Vampire related movies. So as the rating suggest 5.1 stars on IMDb.com , according to me this movie deserves more than that so I have given it 8******** stars.This movie has all the elements of comedy, romance and friendship in an adequate proportion to make it work as an entertainment package . This movie is not even a bit boring from any angle.This movie is under rated on IMDb.com according to me.As I have read on the discussion board on IMDb.com about the quality of special effects used in this movie is bad, yes, it is bad according to 2012 level, but if you will follow the time period used in the movie than the special effects get justified .Oh, one more thing follow the different time periods (timelines) given in the movie (at some places) and everything will fit into its place and I'm not going to reveal anything about the movie and just want to add that both the leading actress were really great and amazing in their role. So, just watch it and entertain yourself and I'm sure of one thing that the movie is funny and romantic.This is my third review for a movie on IMDb.com and I'm glad that I wrote my feeling about it.For me its 8********.

Oh where to start. I am busy with watching loads of vampire movies and I have to say that I wouldn't have watched this if it wasn't on the list. But I am glad I did! I don't get all the negative comments, but I actually like quite a lot of movies where this happens. The movie is maybe cheesy on the vampire part, but it is basically just like any other romantic comedy. It is something to watch for fun, with funny dialogs, good acting and enough girlie moments for every teen of grownup on her period. Krysten Ritter is not only a beautiful actress, she fits her role perfectly. And Dan Stevens looks just really hot! All by all nothing deep, some parts of the storyline I didn't really get, but it is fun and heartwarming. It makes you think of your childhood, of all the things that are changing around you, the world, fashion, views...I had to drop a tear at the end!

Written and directed by Amy Heckerling and starring Alicia Silverstone, Krysten Ritter, Sigourney Weaver, Dan Stevens, Richard Lewis and Wallace Shawn. It's modern day New York and two socialite girl vampires enjoy the night life whilst abstaining from drinking human blood. But affairs of the heart and head arise to create disruption to their existence.Frothy, goofy and charming, Vamps is well performed, decently written and is harmless enough entertainment. It's just that it never really rises to Heckerling's savvy ambitions. The jokes and vampiric traces to lore are merely amiable, while the actual story is uneven to say the least. Still, it's not a failure and worth catching on the tube if stuck for some light entertainment to pass the time with. 5/10
