One of my all time favorites.
hyped garbage
I cannot think of one single thing that I would change about this film. The acting is incomparable, the directing deft, and the writing poignantly brilliant.
Tells a fascinating and unsettling true story, and does so well, without pretending to have all the answers.
When I first went into this movie....Nope. Not that type of review. This movie (to me at least) is fairly interesting, and quite entertaining. There's an organization trying to uncover secrets about the history of the assassins, by having them act out the events through a different take on time travel. You have a criminal being "forced" to have a part in that. The best parts of the movie are easily the events of the past: Assassins on the run.In present day, while the movie still keeps me interested, it just feels like it was meant to keep the movie running to its 1hr and 45 minute runtime. The movie doesn't really have muchc going on throughout it; the main goal just being to uncover a particular secret. While it is a step in the right direction for Video game movies, its not big enough to start making them "amazing", or "outstanding".
The only reason I wanted to watch this was to watch him jump into a pile of hay like in the games. Didn't happen.
This was a great effort. People are seldom seen satisfied. Are they wise enough to do it better themselves? Otherwise complaining is just gonna cause desynchronization. Anyway, nothing beats everything. If you wanna be thrilled, play the games. But watch the movie as well, it's cool.
Why does this have a 5.8?! "Assassin's Creed" is a great movie! It was a project that Ubisoft put off for way too long, if you ask me! I still can't believe that this bombed so badly, but "La La Land" did so fantastic. Most people say that the movie is boring and bland. And by 'they', I mean people who have never seen a Kevin Costner movie. The cast is great, the fight scenes are excellently coordinated, and the story is quite solid, though it doesn't stick to that of the game. But by doing that, It feels like this could even take place during the same time as the games. They even put in Alan Rikkin, who Dr. Vidic received e-mails from in the first game! Personally, I consider "Assassin's Creed" to be the best movie of 2016. On a side note, I consider "La La Land" to be the worst.
