After receiving her diagnosis, Chun Young is taken aback to realize that her sole chance for treatment rests on a transplant. Dong Gu reassures Chun Young that things will work out, and they agree it's best to inform their children about the illness. Without hesitation, all three children and Dong Gu opt to undergo transplant screening tests.
Everyone in Eun Sung's family becomes devastated when they all get a negative match to be Chun Young's liver donor. Sun Woo says he will also get tested to be the donor, but Jung Ae forbids it. Meanwhile, Jung Ae meets with Tto Soon's mom, the lady who had spread rumors of Dong Gu's affair 30 years ago.
Jung Ae apologizes to Dong Gu and Chun Young after learning the truth from Tto Soon's mother about what she said to her 30 years ago regarding Dong Gu's affair with Chun Young. Eventually, Chun Young and Jung Ae clear up the past and reconcile before heading into the operation room.
