Field Marshall Erwin Rommel was the most famous and celebrated German military commander of the Second World War. He was revered by the Germans, respected by the Allies and nicknamed 'The Desert Fox' for his tactics in the Western Desert - and yet he would die in secret disgrace. Rommel is the most detailed film biography of the German commander ever made. It follows his military career through the Great War to his daring tank assaults during the Blitzkreig of 1940, which brought him to the attention of the Nazi leaders. Westminster Live was a weekly television programme focusing on political developments within the Parliament of the United Kingdom. The programme began in November 1989 on the same day as television cameras were first allowed into the House of Commons. The programme lasted until 2002 when it was discontinued, and succeeded by the Daily Politics. The programme was presented by Nick Robinson and Iain Macwhirter. Robinson left the BBC to join ITV and Macwhirter went on to report on the Scottish Parliament in Holyrood Live. The first presenter was Vivian White and later hosts included Nick Ross and Diana Madill. The programme was originally presented from a small studio opposite the Houses of Parliament, but in later years it came from the BBC's Millbank base. It focussed on coverage from Parliament far more than its successor.

Politics Now was a Scottish political programme produced and broadcast by STV in northern and central Scotland. The programme, broadcast for 40 weeks of the year, on a Thursday evenings after the main ITV news, covered all of the big Political developments in Westminster, Brussels and Holyrood in detail. The programme was presented by STV's political editor Bernard Ponsonby with features reports and contributions from the rest of STV's political unit - Westminster correspondent Harry Smith, political correspondent Jamie Livingstone and freelance reporter David Torrance. The programme was originally presented by former political correspondent Michael Crow until his departure from the station in January 2009. The series was replaced in 2011 by Scotland Tonight, which broadcast Mondays to Thursdays on STV covering current affairs and politics.

Hannity & Colmes was a live television show on Fox News Channel in the United States, hosted by Sean Hannity and Alan Colmes, who respectively presented a conservative and liberal perspective. The series premiered on October 7, 1996, and the final episode aired on January 9, 2009. It was the precursor to the Hannity program, which airs in the same time slot. The show offered Hannity's conservative views and Colmes's liberal views incorporated into a current news story, or in conjunction with a featured guest. In addition to politics, the show featured debate about soft news stories, such as the 2006 Duke University lacrosse team scandal or the death of Anna Nicole Smith, or one-on-one interviews with politicians, commonly with the host who most closely shared the guest's political ideology. The show's format resembled a former CNN show called Crossfire, which similarly had co-hosts on both the left and right. Fox announced on November 24, 2008 that Alan Colmes would leave the show at the end of the year, but he remains a commentator on Fox News, runs Liberaland, and makes occasional appearances on other programs like The O'Reilly Factor, and Shovio.com's TalkBackTV. On December 11, it was announced that Hannity would take over the time slot alone with a new show simply titled Hannity, which would have a format closer to his weekend program Hannity's America. January 9, 2009 was the last airing of Hannity & Colmes, with January 12 marking the beginning of the new Hannity program.

The Beltway Boys was an internationally syndicated American weekly television show. The title referred to the Capital Beltway — the circumferential freeway surrounding Washington, D.C. — and to the two journalists who hosted the show: Mort Kondracke and Fred Barnes. Airing initially in the United States on Saturday evenings at 6:00 pm ET on the Fox News Channel, the program was a weekly digest and discussion of political issues. The show was taped in Fox News' Washington studios on Fridays. Typically, the program began with three primary topics that Kondracke and Barnes discussed at length. It then looked at newsworthy events in the political lives of national leaders in its "Ups and Downs" segment, characterizing the events as positive for the individual or negative. Fox News Channel cancelled the show in April 2009.

The programme aired in Europe on Friday nights and in Asia on Saturday mornings. World Business was cancelled after it was revealed that the show's production company was doubling as a public relations firm for Malaysian politicians, including Sarawak Chief Minister Abdul Taib Mahmud. The Sarawak Report, a blog run by Clare Rewcastle Brown, reported that FBC Media had been receiving payments from Malaysian politicians in return for positive coverage, including carrying puff pieces on the programme to improve Taib's international image.
