In order to make maximum profits, husband and wife team Krystal and Dedric Polite use their 50/50 flip strategy to renovate a home with less than $50K in under 50 days.

The Polites are in the market for their next 50/50 FLIP. Marlin, acquisitions manager and Krystal's cousin, has found a potential diamond in the rough in a four-unit apartment building in neighboring Graham, NC. It's significantly bigger than the usual single family homes Krystal and Dedric renovate, but the asking price makes it an absolute steal. Will they be able to turn this "motel" of ill-repair into the sleek four-unit rental of their dreams, or will they be left wishing for an early checkout?
Episode 5 : Flipping the Family Neighborhood

Dedric and Krystal get a lead on a dream property in Burlington, NC that could be fast money. The house is newer construction and needs less work than normal. To maximize profit, the Polites want to make this house one of their quickest flips, well under their 50/50 FLIP strategy. Much of Krystal's family grew up nearby, and this house fits into their plan to flip the neighborhood Krystal loves one home at a time. As renovations begin, a series of supply shortages threatens to take this dream flip and turn it into a nightmare.

Dedric and Krystal have found a vacant cottage with a steal of a list price in a Burlington, NC neighborhood where houses are selling for triple the amount. This house is a deal, and the property is large enough to split and develop into apartments that will potentially generate long term cash flow for their family. Will unforeseen problems during the renovation derail the budget and turn this steal into a lemon, or will the Polites keep things on schedule and on budget?

The last remaining contestant responsible for the property that has made the most profit when sold at auction wins the series. Network Ten announced in August 2011 that it had commissioned a second season of the series, but indicated that it would modify the program's format in order to address poor ratings, but to date no second season has been produced.
