The New Fly Fisher is an entertaining, educational and informative Television & Online Video Series that serves anglers of all ability levels. The series showcases exciting fishing Destinations…the places where Trout, Bass, Pike, Salmon and other species thrive. Each unique episode taps into the stories and knowledge of guides and outfitters in Canada, the USA and around the world. You’ll learn about the amazing habits of different fish species and you’ll share in our tricks and tips for overcoming the frequent challenges you’ll face on the water

In this special video we are visiting a little known region of Northern Ontario that has outstanding smallmouth bass fishing with lots of public access. We also discuss the use of different fly lines to explore the water column, from top to bottom, and to help you catch more smallmouth bass and other species. We are at Birchland Cottages which is a drive-to location which has exceptional fishing and yet is affordable and accessible!

Season 12
Season Twelve is our best year yet with lots of exciting destinations and information! In our 26 full-length episodes we covered species such as Atlantic Salmon, Brook Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Arctic Char, Brown Trout, Northern Pike, Steelhead, Lake Trout and even Arctic Grayling! Our destinations are from Chile (Patagonia) all the way to Northern Canada (Nunavut and Nunavik). Lots of explosive surface takes, monster fish and educational details to help make you a better angler!
Season 11
This season The New Fly Fisher hosts were lucky to travel to some incredible locations from the Yukon all way down south to Brazil. Instruction on how to catch species such as Brook Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Pike, Rainbow Trout and even Atlantic Salmon is covered throughout this great year of fly fishing
Season 10
This season has lots of diversity, from Smallmouth Bass topwater fishing in Northern Ontario to nymphing for Rainbow Trout on the Missouri River, lots of exciting education and destinations for all anglers!

From fantasy fishing in the Bahamas to affordable world-class fishing in Northern Ontario (Algoma Country), this season is all about exploring new and exciting fishing destinations
Season 8
This season covers a large spectrum of fishing environments and species. However, there is a very special focus for fly fishers who love Brook Trout and Atlantic Salmon. Lots of great shows in Labrador and Newfoundland full of wonderful instruction and education!
