Synopsis
Season 2 consists of a prequel to the first season (Episodes 1-6) and follows up with the sequel (Episodes 7-12). **The Washio Sumi Chapter** In the year 298 from the era of the gods, elementary school girls Sumi Washio, Sonoko Nogi, and Gin Minowa are tasked with an important mission. They are to become heroes and fight Vertex, a mysterious enemy that is attacking Shinju-sama, the god tree that protects Shikoku, the only area in the world that is still habitable. Following their battle against the Vertex, YUuna, Fuu, Itsuki, and Karin are joined by a fully recovered Sonoko as the Hero Club resumes its normal activities. However, Yuuna starts to get a strange feeling that someone is missing from the equation. The next day, upon experiencing more deja vu, both Yuuna and Sonoko come to the realization that someone has altered their memories to make them forget all about Tougou, as if she never existed. Upon recalling their true memories of Tougou, who had been taking up a masked hero persona to make up for her sins, the girls are left with the question of where she has disappeared to.

Season 1
In her everyday life, Yuuki Yuuna is a hero. As proof, she is in her middle school's Hero Club, where she does her best to help others and bring a smile to everyone's face.
But Yuuna, always up to any task, is about to become an even bigger hero. Mysterious destructive forces called Vertexes begin threatening the world she loves, and the Hero Club is called upon by a strange phone app to save it. Along with her best friend Tougou Mimori, as well as sisters Inubouzaki Fuu and Itsuki, they must transform into magical girls in order to battle the Vertexes.
In between studying and putting on shows for kids, Yuuna and the Hero Club must fight for the very existence of their world and face the harsh truths behind their own powers, all the while discovering what it truly means to be a hero.
