Synopsis
Tracing the giant river from its origins, high in the Andes, to its end, where it meets the sea on Brazil's Atlantic coast, Parry stays with the many and varied tribes who are desperately trying to maintain their way of life in a rapidly disappearing landscape.

The former Royal Marine revisits old friends when he meets the Matis tribe, but the reception is lukewarm due to their wariness of outsiders they hold responsible for the diseases that killed many of them. Bruce also meets the loggers who are blamed for cutting down swathes of the forest. Farther along the river, the Marubo tribe prove more lively with dancing and rituals through the night.

Bruce Parry continues his Amazon adventure, travelling through the jungles of Peru to visit the Achuar people, a remote tribe who are fighting to keep oil companies off their land. Tammy
Tammy is an American sitcom, starring Debbie Watson in the title role. Produced by Universal City Studios, 26 color half-hour episodes were aired on ABC from September 17, 1965 to March 11, 1966.
Tammy was loosely based on the three Tammy films; Tammy and the Bachelor starring Debbie Reynolds; Tammy Tell Me True; and Tammy and the Doctor both starring Sandra Dee. The films themselves were adaptations of novels by Cid Ricketts Sumner. The series was also partially influenced by other rural themed TV sitcoms such as The Beverly Hillbillies. In particular, there are similarities between Tammy's Cletus Tarleton and The Beverly Hillbillies' Jethro Bodine.
