Synopsis
In Fresh Off the Boat season two, Eddie takes you on a global excursion examining cities in transition. From the abandoned Packard Plant in Detroit to migrant Kyrgyz workers in Moscow to the yurts of the Gobi Desert, we see the wreckage that global capitalism has left behind and get a glimpse of what could be its next meal in the Mongolian steppes. From high-powered meetings with the pandas of Chengdu and pasta with self-proclaimed celebrity gangster Dave Courtney, we ask the people on the ground whether the changes we're seeing and the progress we've been promised are actually helping the every day man in his pursuit of happiness. Of course, this all happens through the lens of food, across a table, on a plate. Fuck with the kid.
Episode 19 : Chengdu Part 1

It's the season finale of Fresh Off The Boat - Chengdu. Eddie, a.k.a. The Human Panda, returns to his bamboo roots and discovers that pandas watch panda porn. He gets a taste of Chengdu traditions with hip hop pioneer DJ SuperBestFriend and eats pig brain mapo tofu at a "fly restaurant" on the brink of demolition.

He then tries his hand at a game of cricket with a Pakistani cricket league and spits some real shit about the effects of British colonization and institutionalized Islamophobia in London.

Season 1
Fresh Off the Boat is a genre-bending venture into subculture through the lens of food. Raw, wild, and heartfelt, Eddie Huang gets down in the underbellies of cities around the world in search of what's cooking in their back alleys and underground spots. He's hunting rabbits with biker gangs in Oakland, eating seafood and surfing in Taiwan, hitting low-rider BBQs in East LA, and dining on rice and beans with your drug dealer's grandmother in Miami.
