Jodie's acting career gets a boost when she is accepted into stage school, but the high fees may be a problem, while Liam is back to visit his dad Les and is interested in a position at Blow & Go. Sir Henry asks Joyce if the Solana can host the Pride of Benidorm awards at short notice, but a double booking leads to a fight between two Peter Andre tribute acts and host Sammy Valentino starts causing trouble. Can a special star performance from Crystal save the day?

The whole town is dressed to impress for the Benidorm fancy dress festival, but Les is down in the dumps as he is missing his son Liam more than ever so Amber and the staff hatch a plan to cheer him up. Troy thinks he is being stalked by his ex Gavin, but the threat soon turns out to be much more sinister, while the Dawsons' holiday is drawing to a close and Billy still hasn't told Sheron that Eddie (Bobby Knutt) Is moving in with them. Meanwhile, a case of mistaken identity gets Rob, Joey and Tiger into trouble with the law.

Tiger and Joey go mountain-climbing and soon have a run in with a hiker who takes exception to their seemingly loutish behaviour. The situation worsens when they realise they've forgotten to bring any water. After Pauline's relapse, the Maltbys decide to cut their holiday short and take her home on the evening flight, while romance is in the air at the Solana with both Eddie and Rob landing themselves dates, and a stranger turns up at reception asking for Mateo.

Geoff stages an intervention when Pauline falls off the wagon, but not before she has drunkenly befriended young Jodie - who was left under the not-so-watchful eye of Eddie while Billy and Sheron went for breakfast. The Solana wristbands are replaced by a new ID card system, but the technicalities of the new process prove too complicated for Mateo and the staff, and Joyce goes on a date with her estate agent Monty.

The Maltbys are back at the Solana and Geoff gets some terrible news from back home as his status as quiz champion `the Oracle' is revoked, and Pauline must battle her demons as her sobriety is seriously tested by the resort's all-inclusive policy. Joey and Tiger get in trouble at a local biker bar and must defeat one of the regulars in a drinking challenge to save their necks, while Blow & Go sees some big changes and Joyce goes to a property auction and has to fight it out with a surprise bidder.

Troy returns to the Solana, as he, Jacqueline and Kenneth scatter Donald's ashes.

The series was a spinoff of The Andy Griffith Show, and the pilot was aired as the finale of the fourth season of The Andy Griffith Show on May 18, 1964. The show ran for five seasons and a total of 150 episodes. In 2006, CBS Home Entertainment began releasing the series on DVD. The final season was released in November 2008. The series was created by Aaron Ruben, who also produced the show with Sheldon Leonard and Ronald Jacobs. Filmed and set in California, it stars Jim Nabors as Gomer Pyle, a naive but good-natured gas-station attendant from the town of Mayberry, North Carolina, who enlists in the United States Marine Corps. Frank Sutton plays Gomer's high-octane, short-fused Gunnery Sergeant Vince Carter, and Ronnie Schell plays Gomer's friend Gilbert "Duke" Slater. Allan Melvin played in the recurring role of Gunnery Sergeant Carter's rival, Sergeant Charley Hacker. The series never discussed nor addressed the then-current Vietnam War, instead focusing on the relationship between Gomer and Sergeant Carter. The show retained high ratings throughout its run.

Although originally broadcast twice a week the series eventually settled in a regular timeslot on Tuesdays at 9:30PM EST after Scrubs. The show starred Josh Cooke and Jennifer Finnigan and costarred Darius McCrary, Tammy Lynn Michaels and Tom Poston. Cooke and Finnigan played two single and extremely eccentric New Yorkers who are subject to constant interference when they begin dating from their equally eccentric friends and Finnigan's roommate, known only as "Dying Clown" or "Clown" who was actually a clown, played by Tom Poston. The show ran for 13 episodes. Clips and fan-generated montages can still be found online, but no official DVDs have been produced.
